The Brit is on the Move: THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN Lands on CTV Just in Time for February Sweeps

“…[U]ndeniably endearing, energetic and star-studded hour of television.”

 – Mary McNamara, Los Angeles Times

“Corden’s effortless charm and wit made for the sort of easy back-and-forth he’s become increasingly known for, leading one to wonder why publicists aren’t fighting each other bare-knuckled in the streets to get their clients on The Late Late Show.”

– Amanda Michelle Steiner, EW

“Corden’s Carpool Karaoke bits, with everyone from Justin Bieber and One Direction to Rod Stewart and Stevie Wonder, always go viral.”

– Bill Harris, Toronto Sun

Late night’s newest household name is taking his playful after party to CTV. Propelled by some serious hype and record-breaking viral video counts, THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN moves to CTV weeknights at 12:35 a.m. ET/PT, beginning Monday, Feb. 8 on CTV and CTV GO, following THE DAILY SHOW WITH TREVOR NOAH.

“In a very short period of time, James Corden has emerged as a breakthrough force in the late night landscape,” said Mike Cosentino, Senior Vice-President, Programming, CTV Networks and CraveTV. “This timely move to CTV, combined with the February Sweeps period, will be a good test to see if the show can be a breakout late night hit for CTV.”

Since THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN premiered in March 2015, the buzz surrounding the charming Brit has been undeniable, taking Hollywood, and the world by storm. Whether he’s dancing on a piano singing Justin Bieber’s “Sorry”, breaking the internet hosting Carpool Karaoke singalongs with Adele, Bieber, One Direction, Mariah Carey, or Stevie Wonder (will upcoming Carpool Karaoke guest Elton John do the same?), making a trio of celebrities cozy on the guest couch, or simply riffing off his fearless and whacky bandleader Reggie Watts, James Corden is grabbing what seems like every entertainment headline.

There’s no denying that the critical acclaim for THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN is widespread with everyone from The New York Times calling him “energetic, amiable and cheerfully self-assured,” to The Huffington Post UK highlighting that “ever since the British star made his debut as host of the… talk show, A-Listers have been lining up to take part in some truly memorable – and very, very funny – skits and performances” and The Wrap reminding viewers that he’s “…reaffirming that he’s here to make us smile and feel good at the end of whatever kind of day we’ve had.”

Viewers can also watch THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN live and on demand on the CTV GO app and at CTV.ca (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times).
