CTV and TSN Have Two of the Top 3 Programs Sunday with THE MASTERS and FORD WORLD MEN’S CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP

On the heels of an epic weekend of championship events, CTV and TSN attracted leading audiences on Sunday, highlighted by a pair of inspiring performances.

The nail-biting final round at THE MASTERS was watched by 1.3 million viewers (778,000 on CTV; 491,000 on TSN2) as Sergio Garcia went shot for shot with Justin Rose to claim his first Green Jacket. THE MASTERS won the day on Sunday to become the most-watched program on English-language television, with viewership peaking at 2.5 million viewers at 7:30 p.m. ET as Garcia made his Tournament-winning put. Across TSN Digital platforms, THE MASTERS saw an increase of 69% over last year in live-streaming.

Also captivating viewers was Brad Gushue and his Newfoundland and Labrador rink as they edged Team Sweden by a score of 4-2 to win their first World Championship. Last night’s thrilling gold medal game as part of the FORD WORLD MEN’S CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP ranked as the third most-watched program on English-language television on Sunday with 1 million viewers. Overall, a total of 2.8 million individual Canadians watched some part of the gold medal game, with audience levels peaking at 10:48 p.m. ET with 1.6 million viewers as Team Canada threw their final stone and claimed victory.
