TORONTO (May 4, 2017) – CTV is bringing the heat with a dynamic 2017 summer schedule anchored by three brand-new series from some of the biggest names in television: WORLD OF DANCE, THE F WORD, and STILL STAR-CROSSED. Summer on CTV also features an all-star showcase of returning favourites including THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, SAVING HOPE, MASTERCHEF, and AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR, along with a one of a kind, crowd-sourced summer event special, CANADA IN A DAY, and the hottest music celebrations including THE 2017 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS and THE 2017 IHEARTRADIO MUCH MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS.

From the television powerhouse of Shondaland comes STILL STARCROSSED (May 29), a new spin on the classic love story of Romeo and Juliet. WORLD OF DANCE (May 30) is a blazing new competition series produced by Jennifer Lopez and hosted by Jenna Dewan Tatum, WORLD OF DANCE features the world’s most talented dancers competing for $1 million before a star-studded judging panel of Lopez, Derek Hough, and NEYO. Based on his Gordon Ramsay’s hit U.K. series, each distinctive and fast-paced hour of the appropriately titled THE F WORD (May 31) combines good food and great cooking with Ramsay’s passion, energy and humour in a one-of-a-kind live series.

Returning to the CTV schedule are some of Canada’s most popular competition series. THE AMAZING RACE CANADA is back to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary of confederation with a fifth season on July 4. STILL STAR-CROSSED

Series premiere: Monday, May 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV GO

This hotly anticipated drama from Shonda Rhimes picks up where the famous story of Romeo and Juliet ends, charting the treachery, palace intrigue and ill-fated romances of the Montagues and Capulets in the wake of the young lovers’ tragic fate. The series is based on the book Still Star-Crossed by Melinda Taub. Get ready for food, family, and fun with Gordon Ramsay’s bold, new live series, THE F WORD. Based on the hit U.K. series, each distinctive and fast-paced hour combines good food and great cooking with Ramsay’s passion, energy, and humour in a one-of-a-kind live series. During each episode, teams of foodie families and friends battle it out in a high-stakes cook-off, hoping to impress Ramsay, as well as celebrities, VIPs and other dinner guests. As the live battle heats up, the show features Ramsay hosting highly stylized cooking demos and weekly out-of-the-kitchen adventures with fans, foodies, and surprise guests.

On Season 8 of MASTERCHEF, Gordon Ramsay and renowned pastry chef Christina Tosi welcome celebrity chef Aarón Sánchez to the judges’ panel. The three celebrated food experts will put the latest group of contestants through a series of challenging elimination rounds, in order to turn one home cook into a culinary master.

SAVING HOPE (Season 5) – The Final Season

Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV GO, beginning June 8

The fifth and final season of SAVING HOPE returns with all nine new episodes following its emotional spring finale, which picks up in the wake of a personal trauma that devastated Dr. Alex Reid (Erica Durance), who busies herself with work to distract her from her grief. Plus, Dr. Maggie Lin’s (Julia Taylor Ross) ex-girlfriend Dr. Sydney Katz (Stacey Farber, DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION) comes back into town  with some surprising news for Maggie. The fifth and final season of SAVING HOPE returns with all nine new episodes following its emotional spring finale, which picks up in the wake of a personal trauma that devastated Dr. Alex Reid (Erica Durance), who busies herself with work to distract her from her grief. Plus, Dr. Maggie Lin’s (Julia Taylor Ross) ex-girlfriend Dr. Sydney Katz (Stacey Farber, DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION) comes back into town  with some surprising news for Maggie. Meanwhile, the return of “The Great” Randal Crane (Peter Keleghan, MURDOCH MYSTERIES) in the spring finale, delivered a dire warning about Charlie’s (Michael Shanks) “special gift” and its heavy cost if he doesn’t rid himself of it – leaving viewers wondering whether Alex and Charlie will finally work out their differences on their way to happily ever after…or are they indeed cursed? The final season continues its strong roster of guest stars including Ben Bass (ROOKIE BLUE), Don McKellar (SENSITIVE SKIN), Missy Peregrym (ROOKIE BLUE) who all appear in upcoming episodes this season.

The iconic THE $100,000 PYRAMID returns for a second season. Hosted by Pro Football Hall of Famer and celebrated TV personality Michael Strahan (GOOD MORNING AMERICA), every episode will have $100,000 up for grabs. The hottest stars will team up with players from across the U.S. to take on the timeless war of words, racing against the clock to give and guess clues in one of TV’s all-time great word-association games.

AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR (Season 9)

Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV GO, beginning June 12

Hosted by Matt Iseman, along with former NFL player Akbar Gbajabiamila, and co-host Kristine Leahy (CBS SPORTS), AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR is based on the global hit SASUKE, now in its 33rd season in Japan. Season 9 of the series brings new obstacles and visits to new cities, all in the continuing quest for physical excellence.

HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT (Season 5)

HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT, hosted by Emmy Award® and Golden Globe winner Jane Lynch, returns for a fifth season. The hilarious party game series sees two contestants transported from their everyday lives into a once-in-a-lifetime night of fun and celebration. Contestants step beyond the velvet rope and rub shoulders with some of their favorite celebrities, competing for the chance to win up to $25,000. This season features new party games and the winning contestant will be able to choose two celebrities to help them win the grand prize. Celebrities joining this season include, Sterling K. ZOO (Season 3)

ZOO, based on the #1 bestselling novel by James Patterson, is a global thriller about a wave of violent animal attacks against humans sweeping the planet. In Season 3, the year is 2027, and the world has reached a tipping point: as the human population continues to dwindle due to the sterility problem, an equally devastating threat rises in the form of “the hybrids,” an army of unstoppable lab-made creatures, hell-bent on destroying mankind. Although the team has become estranged over the past decade, Jackson (James Wolk), Jamie (Kristen Connolly), Abraham (Nonso Anozie), Dariela (Alyssa Diaz), and Logan (Josh Salatin) are forced to overcome their differences and reunite when they learn that Mitch (Billy Burke) is alive.
