Numeris Fall 2016 Survey Results: CJAD 800 Is Montréal’s #1 English-Language Radio Station

- CJAD 800 airs nine of the ten most popular shows in the city’s English-language radio market -

MONTRÉAL (December 7, 2016) – The fall 2016 PPM survey results announced by Numeris today confirm that CJAD 800 remains the #1 English-language radio station in Montréal. It has a 28% audience share for all listeners aged two or older1. This matches the station’s previous record. What’s more, of all “News/Talk” radio stations across Canada, CJAD 800 is the one which enjoys the highest listening share in its central market2.

CJAD 800 Shows – Leading the Market!

This fall, CJAD 800 aired nine of Montréal’s ten most popular English-language radio shows—a remarkable achievement in a competitive market3.

With a share of 36%, the ANDREW CARTER MORNING SHOW is once again the most listened to program in Montréal’s English-language radio market between 5:30 and 9 a.m., Monday to Friday. The program’s performance increased by 2 share points compared to fall 20154.

Aaron Rand, meanwhile, remains the most popular host during the afternoon drive (Monday to Friday, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.), with a 25% market share. That’s an increase of three share points over last fall4.

For his part, Ken Connors holds the #1 rank on weekend mornings (Saturday and Sunday, 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.), with a whopping 52% market share4.

CJAD 800 recently announced a new weekday midday lineup which includes THE LESLIE ROBERTS SHOW, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., THE GANG OF FOUR with Tommy Schnurmacher, 12 to 1 p.m., and THE NATASHA HALL SHOW, 1 to 3 p.m.
