TORONTO (December 11, 2017) – Hosted by late night talk show host and comedian Seth Meyers (LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS), THE 75TH ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS, which celebrates the best in television and film, officially kicks off the 2018 awards season, airing Sunday, Jan. 7 live across the country at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CTV and CTV GO (check local listings). New this season, before the hardware is handed out in January, CTV delivers star-studded THE GOLDEN GLOBE 75TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL, airing this coming Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV GO.

Today’s announcement follows this morning’s nominations for THE 75TH ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS, with Bell Media programming garnering a total of 24 nominations, including including three out of five nods in the Best Television Series – Drama category for THIS IS US, THE HANDMAID’S TALE, and GAME OF THRONES; six nominations for HBO’s BIG LITTLE LIES,) including Best Performance nods for series stars Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Alexander Skarsgard, Laura Dern, and Shailene Woodley; Best Performance  nods for Freddie Highmore (THE GOOD DOCTOR), Chrissy Metz and Sterling K. Brown (THIS IS US), Elizabeth Moss (THE HANDMAID’S TALE), Liev Schreiber (RAY DONOVAN), and Kyle MacLachlan (TWIN PEAKS); while SHOWTIME’s new buzz-worthy comedy series SMILF garnered two major nominations in its first season. CraveTV is streaming all of SHOWTIME’s Golden Globe-nominated programming, including SMILF, TWIN PEAKS, and RAY DONOVAN, as well as HBO’s BIG LITTLE LIES, and THE HANDMAID’S TALE. Celebrating glamour, humor, heartfelt speeches, and classic moments from what has been dubbed as Hollywood’s “Party of the Year”, THE GOLDEN GLOBE 75TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL also includes comedic highlights from past hosts and presenters and a countdown of the best Golden Globe Award-winning movies of all time, as selected by members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).
