TORONTO (December 7, 2017) – With a shot for redemption on the line, Toronto FC battles defending MLS CUP champions Seattle Sounders FC in a rematch of last year’s final and TSN has fans covered, delivering the culmination of a thrilling MLS post-season with MLS CUP 2017 – one of the network’s lineup of 60+ iconic championship events. TSN’s live coverage begins with an expanded 60-minute pre-game show on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 3:30 p.m. ET on TSN1, TSN4, and TSN5.

TSN’s James Duthie hosts the network’s comprehensive pre-game coverage alongside soccer analysts Terry Dunfield and Kristian Jack, live from Toronto’s BMO Field. In addition to delivering a detailed breakdown of the of the championship final, Duthie also interviews MLS Commissioner Don Garber, while Jack sits down with Toronto FC’s Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore. Together the pre-game panel also takes a look back at last year’s MLS CUP and discusses Toronto’s odds as it readies for a second chance at championship glory.

Delivering the call for the game are MLS ON TSN play-by-play commentator Luke Wileman and analyst Steven Caldwell, who are joined from the sidelines by Jack. Kelcey Brade is set to file reports during the pre-game show and will also file post-game reports for SPORTSCENTRE. Additionally, for the first time in MLS CUP history, the MLS ON TSN VR Experience Powered by Bell delivers immersive 360º shots of the game’s most exciting, impactful, and must-watch moments.

In the lead up to MLS CUP 2017, TSN’s Cabral “Cabbie” Richards is with Toronto FC stars Jonathan Osorio, Jozy Altidore, and Tosaint Ricketts for an edition of CABBIE PRESENTS, airing Friday evening in SPORTSCENTRE.

Under the direction of 2017 MLS Coach of the Year recipient Greg Vanney and led by all-star strikers Giovinco and Altidore, Toronto looks to secure Canada’s first MLS CUP title following a nail-biting 1-0 aggregate victory over Columbus Crew SC. They take on Seattle Sounders FC, led by United States Men’s National Team forward Clint Dempsey and 2016 MLS CUP MVP, goalkeeper Stefan Frei.
