An Inside Look at All of the Action on TRADECENTRE

During a live, 10-hour broadcast focused on hockey trades, there’s a lot of time to fill; especially when there aren’t a lot of trades happening. Throughout TSN’s TRADECENTRE, the on-air team has to keep viewers engaged leading up to, during, and following the 3 p.m. ET trade deadline. How do they do it? Here’s a roundup of some of Monday’s best moments.

9 a.m. ETNot only was the day about breaking trades, it was also about awarding the most meaningful trophy in hockey to one of the hardest working peewee hockey team in Canada. With their commitment off the ice, and the incredible impact it has had on their community, The Pas Huskies were revealed as the 2018 Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup Winners!

10 a.m. ET – #IsThereKetchupOnThat? Following 2017’s legendary ketchup moment after Jeff O’Neill’s mic was left on; the team pays tribute with a dramatic TSN Original.

11 a.m. ET – As everyone is waiting for a huge, blockbuster trade, the common activity from the day is hearing about a non-impact player exchanged for an equally unimpactful player. Host James Duthie decided to add fire to the slow burning embers with “Fourth Line Winger”, the hottest track TradeCentre has seen.

12 p.m. ET – Seriously, “Is there ketchup on that”? Harvey’s was the real MVP after they delivered burgers for the gang.

1 p.m. ETFrom the fan-favourite SC with Jay and Dan segment, Scrum Lurkers to the aptly-named and made-over NHL Trade Lurkers! Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole point out all the weird and wacky things happening behind host James Duthie and the Instant Analysis Panel.

2 p.m. ETTo cure the creeping fear fans get when their teams don’t make a trade, there’s Tradedeadzine. Courtesy of Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole, it’s sure to cure all the Evander Migraines and Rick Nash Rash resulting from trade envy.

With all the fun moments and expert analysis, it’s no surprise that Canadians once again made TSN’s TRADECENTRE the most-watched for NHL Trade Deadline Day Coverage!
