The three winning pieces will each receive an Astral Out of Home campaign valued at $50,000 and a trip to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Winners will be announced in late May.

“We are thrilled to see the excitement surrounding the sixth annual CARTE BLANCHE FOR CREATIVES,” said Lucy Collin Vice-President, Marketing and Innovation, Bell Media Sales. “We received more submissions this year than ever before and the calibre of entries was simply incredible. The industry really put their energy, creativity and enthusiasm behind these submissions and we can’t wait to have those creatives proudly displayed on Astral Out of Home products all over the country.”

The Carte Blanche competition is based on agencies creating and submitting a new, out-of-home ad for a client at www.carteblancheforcreatives.ca. There is no creative brief and entrants are given “carte blanche” to develop a concept. Ads are then open for voting from the creative community who will determine the Top 10 finalists in each market. A jury comprised of participating agencies are then brought together to determine the winning submissions from May 4 – 7.

Carte Blanche was conceived and developed by Astral Out of Home in 2010 to support and reward creativity within advertising agencies in Montréal and Toronto. Highly anticipated by the creative community every year, the competition has since grown to include Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary.
