Crave Programming Garners 19 Nominations for 2019 GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! That’s right, awards season! This morning the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced the nominations for the 76th ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS®, and Crave programming garnered 19 nominations overall. With nominations being announced for BARRY, ESCAPE AT DANNEMORA, THE HANDMAID’S TALE, KIDDING, KILLING EVE, PATRICK MELROSE, SHARP OBJECTS, SUCCESSION, THE TALE, WESTWORLD, and WHO IS AMERICA?, viewers can head to the all-new Crave to binge-watch all the top programming in the lead-up to the GOLDEN GLOBES on January 7, 2019.

Throughout the day, stars expressed their gratitude and excitement over their nominations. In response to his co-star Henry Winkler’s nomination for HBO’s BARRY, Bill Hader said “I’m especially happy to see Mr. Winkler back in the mix. He’s a legend.” Jim Carrey was also quick to praise his collaborators on SHOWTIME’s KIDDING, thanking the HFPA “for recognizing the brilliant work of Dave Holstein, Michel Gondry, the writers, producers and the absolutely lovely cast and crew.” Sacha Baron Cohen also thanked the HFPA “for recognizing me, which luckily is something that none of the guests on the show did.” He also made sure to acknowledge the guests he duped on his SHOWTIME series WHO IS AMERICA?, saying “it is a shame they overlooked the amazing performances by the rest of the cast, particularly Dick Cheney and Roy Moore.

As announced yesterday by the HFPA, the 76th ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE’s will be co-hosted by actor/comedian Andy Samberg and Canadian actress Sandra Oh, who received a nomination today for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama, for her role in KILLING EVE.

Front-and-centre for all of the red carpet action, CTV’s ETALK kicks-off the awards season by bringing viewers exclusive GOLDEN GLOBE access and coverage of today’s nominations, as well as day of ceremony, as the only Canadian outlet with a platform position on the GOLDEN GLOBE red carpet. ETALK Anchors Ben Mulroney and Danielle Graham report from L.A., delivering exclusive one-on-one interviews with Hollywood’s elite. ETALK’s L.A. correspondent, Liz Trinnear, also dishes on the night’s best moments and post-show party circuit from the HBO Golden Globes After Party.
