Dust Off Your Cowboy Boots: THE 52ND ANNUAL CMA AWARDS are Coming to CTV2 and This is What We Know so Far

This year THE 52ND ANNUAL CMA AWARDS bring together some of the top talent in country music. Country superstars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will return as hosts for the show for the 11th consecutive year. Below is the star-studded line up of performers and nominees that will take the stage at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV2.

Here are this year’s top nominees:

  • Chris Stapleton is leading the pack with five nominations for Entertainer of the Year, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Male Vocalist of the Year. Stapleton leads this year’s CMA Awards nominations with five, adding to his previous 11 nominations and seven wins.
  • THE LAUNCH’s Season 1 producer Dann Huff receives four nominations for Single of the Year, Album of the Year (Graffiti U), Album of the Year (Life Changes), and Musician of the Year. Huff is a 31-time nominee with three previous wins for Musician of the Year and two previous wins for Single of the Year.
  • Jason Aldean is the third runner-up with three nominations for Entertainer of the Year, Single of the Year, and Musical Event of the Year. His Entertainer of the Year nomination is his first since 2015 and his fourth nomination in the category.

This year’s top performers include:

  • Mentor on Season 2 of THE LAUNCH Bebe Rexha is a first-time CMA AWARDS nominee, receiving two nominations for Musical Event of the Year and Single of the Year categories for her crossover collaboration “Meant to Be” with Florida Georgia Line.
  • The queen of country Carrie Underwood, receives her 13th nomination in the Female Vocalist category this year. She has garnered 30 CMA AWARDS nominations since 2006.
  • It’s just that simple, superstar duo Florida Georgia Line, receive their sixth Vocal Duo of the Year nomination. They have 11 CMA AWARDS nominations with four total wins.
  • One of the world’s best-selling artists of all time Garth Brooks, is a 33-time CMA AWARDS nominee and 13-time winner. He currently holds the record for most Entertainer of the Year awards with six wins since his first nomination in the category in 1991.
  • Kacey Musgraves is a 15-time CMA AWARDS nominee and two-time winner. She returns this year with her fifth Female Vocalist of the Year nomination and third Album of the Year nomination for her self-released album, Golden Hour.
  • Country music legend, Keith Urban gains his 14th nomination for Male Vocalist of the Year, 11th nomination in the Entertainer of the Year category, and his sixth nomination in the Album of the Year category, bringing his career nominations to 45 with 11 total wins
  • Country icon Luke Bryan is a two-time Entertainer of the Year winner (2014, and 2015) and 16-time CMA AWARDS He will return this year to vie for his third win in the category.
  • Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Luke Combs, received his first CMA AWARDS nomination last year and returns this year with nods in the Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year categories.
  • Critically-acclaimed trio Midland, are first-time CMA AWARDS nominees this year, receiving nominations for New Artist of the Year, Single of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year.
  • Most decorated Female Vocalist of the YearMiranda Lambert, takes the stage on Nov. 14th with Jason Aldean. She returns this year with her 12th nomination for Female Vocalist of the Year, sixth nomination for Musical Event of the Year and seventh Single of the Year nomination.
  • We aren’t breaking up with Old Dominion as they return this year with their third consecutive Vocal Group of the Year nomination.
  • Girl power group Pistol Annies, are two-time CMA AWARDS nominees, receiving nods in 2013 for Music Video of the Year and Musical Event of the Year.
  • All-American boy Thomas Rhett, receives three nods this year, and returns with his second consecutive nominations in the Male Vocalist of the Year and Music Video of the Year categories. This is Rhett’s first nomination for Album of the Year.

THE 52ND ANNUAL CMA AWARDS will air live Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/ PT on CTV2.  The CMA AWARDS nominees and winners are determined by the more than 7,400 industry professional members of the Country Music Association.
