ETALK Celebrates Canadian Pride with Inductees and Special Guests in their Exclusive Backstage Lounge at CANADA’S WALK OF FAME AWARDS

This past Saturday (Dec. 1), uber talented Canadians took center stage at Toronto’s Sony Centre for Performing Arts to celebrate those who have excelled on national and international stages in their respective fields across five pillars of recognition. In its 20th anniversary year, CANADA’S WALK OF FAME AWARDS acknowledged nine inductees including, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, Chris Hadfield, Andrea Martin, Andy Kim, Jim Pattison, Leonard Cohen, and this year’s Allan Slaight Honouree, Jessie Reyez.

ETALK anchors, Ben Mulroney and Danielle Graham also joined in on the celebration and covered all the action in ETALK’s exclusive backstage lounge. Giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at all the inductee interviews and some special guests, ETALK PRESENTS: CANADA’S WALK OF FAME airing Friday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. ET on CTV,  highlights the 2018 inductee’s inspiring journeys and their immense national pride. The special also honours the legacy of the late Leonard Cohen with a special tribute.

In advance of the broadcast, here are the top 5 moments from ETALK’s exclusive backstage lounge at this year’s CANADA’S WALK OF FAME AWARDS:

  1. Russell Peters joins Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg for a round of ETALK’s Walk of Fame trivia challenge, entitled ‘Talk the Walk’.
  2. A giddy Colonel Chris Hadfield gushes to Ben and Danielle about a song that was written in his honour by the Barenaked Ladies that was also debuted on stage during Canada’s Walk of Fame Awards.
  3. Catherine O’Hara crashes Andrea Martin’s interview, making for a whole lot of laughter as female power ensues.
  4. Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir share all the details on what really happens at Canada Olympic House!
  5. And lastly, interviewing business moguls and philanthropists, Jimmy Pattison and Warren Buffett in the ETALK lounge with special guest, Paul Anka – what a rare and special moment.
