TORONTO (November 23, 2015) – It’s time to be the change, Canada! MTV empowers youth with the special premieres of WE DAY 2015 on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. ET on CTV and Monday, Dec. 7 at 9 p.m. ET on MTV. The one-hour special captures the most inspiring moments from the live WE Day event in Toronto this past October, which brought together 20,000 students from across Ontario to celebrate their commitment to make a difference in their local and international communities. Hosted by the “Confident” hit-maker, Demi Lovato, the high-energy special features performances by multi-talented recording artist and actor Nick Jonas, international breakout sensation Shawn Mendes, GRAMMY® nominated singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen, multi-platinum hit-makers Hedley, singer-songwriter Hozier, and retro-electro dance starlet Kiesza. Additionally, actress Nina Dobrev and NBA legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson deliver inspirational messages on the WE DAY 2015 stage.

WE Day is an internationally renowned educational and youth-empowerment movement led by global children’s rights activists and WE Day co-founders, Craig and Marc Kielburger.

In partnership with Canadian recording artist Francesco Yates, MTV and TELUS encouraged youth to join the #CallforChange, and be a part of Francesco Yates’ remix music video of his hit song “Call.” Youth across the country were asked to submit a video via Twitter or Instagram of them singing, dancing or jamming to the chorus of “Call.” The new remix video of “Call” debuted at WE Day Toronto, and is available on MTV.ca.
