Toronto Pearson International Airport and Astral Out of Home Unveil Two New Digital Structures

Located alongside one of Toronto’s busiest highways, the additional structures deliver a daily circulation of close to 800,000

Astral Out of Home (AOOH), a division of Bell Media, in partnership with Toronto Pearson International Airport, introduced today two new large-format digital superboards in close proximity to the country’s largest airport. The new structures, measuring 18 x 60 and 14 x 48 feet, are designed to resemble the tail of an aircraft and provide information about the airport while offering an advertising opportunity reaching millions of commuters and passengers annually.

“Toronto Pearson’s more than 44 million annual passengers look for information about their airport experience in a dynamic and easy to find way,” said Scott Collier, Vice President Customer and Terminal Services, GTAA. “Providing additional information about the airport terminals, services and operators in addition to messaging for well-known brands continues to help us provide an experience that is both engaging and informative to passengers arriving for their flights.”

As the exclusive sales agent of Toronto Pearson, only AOOH is able to offer large-format digital signage solutions in this highly visible area. The four faces of the new advertising structures deliver a daily circulation of close to 800,000.

“Brands can finally capture the attention of consumers in and around the country’s largest airport with these new digital structures,” said Debbie Drutz, Vice President, Sales, Astral Out of Home. “Their unique design and stature are a great addition to our growing number of digital faces in an area that delivers the largest daily circulation yet.”

The screens are now available for advertisers. Upcoming advertisers utilizing the screens include Nestlé, Tim Horton’s, West Jet, and Fan Expo.

The addition of these two digital structures puts AOOH in an even stronger position in the Toronto market with more than 40 large digital faces, adding to an overall total of 136 faces and growing across Canada.

In July, 2016, AOOH announced it became the exclusive Out-of-Home advertising operator at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
