TORONTO (September 29, 2022) – In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, radio broadcasters throughout Canada are once again joining together to amplify, elevate, listen to, and learn from Indigenous voices with A DAY TO LISTEN 2022. Produced by the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF) in partnership with Orbyt Media, listeners can tune in to radio stations across the country on Friday, September 30 from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. (local time).
A DAY TO LISTEN 2022 is hosted by JUNO Award-winning singer-songwriters William Prince and Celeigh Cardinal. Throughout the 12-hour broadcast, listeners will hear stories from Indigenous leaders, residential school Survivors, Elders, musicians, and teachers centred around the theme of “Messages of Hope”.
