TORONTO (December 12, 2025) – Crave’s latest original series, HEATED RIVALRY, produced in partnership with Accent Aigu Entertainment, has exploded onto the scene, officially becoming Crave’s #1 original series debut on record in the first seven-day streams, increasing its viewership by nearly 400% since the premiere on Friday, Nov. 28*.   

Following its record-setting launch and remarkable audience response, Crave also announces the series has been renewed for a second season, cementing its place as one of the platform’s signature franchises.    

With global distribution led by Sphere Abacus, HBO Max in Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Macau, Sri Lanka, Nepal), Latin America, and Europe (excluding UK and Ireland, Spain, and Turkey) have secured the rights to stream the series for two seasons. Additional global partners, including the UK, expected to be announced soon.  

Also confirmed today, HBO Max U.S. and Australia, and NEON (Sky New Zealand), who already exclusively stream Season 1 in those respective markets, have all committed to the streaming rights for a second season.

Created by award-winning Canadian writer-director-producer Jacob Tierney (LETTERKENNY, SHORESY) and based on the best-selling book series Game Changers by Rachel Reid, the six-episode, one-hour romantic drama tells the story of rival hockey players Shane and Ilya. The wildly addictive drama has captured audiences nationwide and is quickly establishing itself as one of the most talked-about series of the year in Canada, and abroad. Since its greenlight announcement at the 2025 Upfronts, HEATED RIVALRY has sparked a surge of social media buzz, with fan edits, reaction threads, and behind-the-scenes clips flooding feeds across platforms, including becoming a Top 3 trending topic on X in Canada during its premiere weekend. Critics have also embraced the series with enthusiasm, contributing to its status as a cultural lighting rod. 

With momentum continuing to rise, Heated Rivalry is poised to become one of Crave’s most culturally impactful originals – at home and internationally. 

In HEATED RIVALRY, Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) are two of the biggest stars in Major League Hockey, bound by ambition, rivalry and a magnetic pull neither of them fully understands. What begins as a secret fling between two fresh-faced rookies evolves into a years-long journey of love, denial, and self-discovery. Over the next eight years, the pair chase glory on the ice while struggling to navigate their feelings off it. Torn between the sport they live for and the love they can’t ignore, Shane and Ilya must decide if there is room in their fiercely competitive world for something as fragile and as powerful as real love. 

Williams and Storrie are joined onscreen by an ensemble cast that includes François Arnaud as Scott Hunter, Robbie G.K. as Kip Grady, Christina Chang and Dylan Walsh as Yuna and David Hollander, Sophie Nélisse as Rose Landry, and Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova as Svetlana.

DECEMBER 12 – BROOKLYN NINE-NINE *The Complete Series*

 	Welcome to the Nine-Nine! Emmy Award-winning BROOKLYN NINE-NINE follows the exploits of hilarious Det. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his stoically ever-professional captain, Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher), along with their diverse, lovable colleagues as they police the NYPD's 99th Precinct. Rounding out the ensemble is Sgt. Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumera), who has a passion for organization and a weakness for dork dancing; Lt. Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), a mountain of a man whose most powerful muscle is his sweetheart; Jake's best friend and human puppy dog, Det.  	Crave Original series SLAYCATION heads to the Canadian Rocky Mountains for its six-episode second season which follows six queens from across the international DRAG RACE family as they vacation together at a Canadian winter cabin. DECEMBER 15 – IRISH BLOOD *New Series*

 	Crime drama series IRISH BLOOD, starring Alicia Silverstone, begins with divorce lawyer Fiona Fox (Silverstone) receiving a message from her estranged father, and embarking on a journey to Ireland. She uncovers family truths and her father's dark past, realizing her life's abandonment story was a protective lie. All six episodes of IRISH BLOOD Season 1 drop on Monday, Dec. 15.

As the FIFA WORLD CUP 26™ grows closer, TSN delivers all-day coverage of the Final Draw this Friday, Dec. 5, a major milestone on the road to the biggest tournament in FIFA history.  

Live coverage from Washington, D.C. begins with the FIFA WORLD CUP DRAW ARRIVAL SPECIAL at 10 a.m. ET hosted by TSN’s James Duthie alongside former Canadian Men’s National Team captains and all-time appearance leaders Atiba Hutchinson and Julian De Guzman. TSN’s Matthew Scianitti reports from the red carpet. 

The FIFA WORLD CUP 26 FINAL DRAW begins at 12 p.m. ET, and determines the Group Stage matches in the newly expanded 48-team tournament, sorting 12 groups of four teams from each of the four pots.  

As the draw reaches its conclusion at 2 p.m. ET, the TSN Soccer panel of Luke Wileman, Steven Caldwell, and Kevin Kilbane provides comprehensive analysis, with TSN’s Camila Gonzalez contributing post-draw reactions from all the biggest stars. TSN’s coverage continues with CANADA’S FIFA WORLD CUP PATH, where the panel is joined by Canada coach Jesse Marsch. The FIFA WORLD CUP DRAW BREAKDOWN follows at 3 p.m. ET. DECEMBER 4 – HBO’s MUSIC BOX: IT’S NEVER OVER, JEFF BUCKLEY

 	The next installment in the “Music Box” series created by Bill Simmons, IT’S NEVER OVER, JEFF BUCKLEY covers the life of the rising young star with an otherworldly voice and boundary-pushing artistry, who left the ‘90s music world reeling when he died suddenly at age 30 after the release of his critically acclaimed debut album Grace. Told through never-before-seen footage from Buckley’s archives and intimate accounts from his mother Mary Guibert, former partners Rebecca Moore and Joan Wasser, and former bandmates, including Michael Tighe and Parker Kindred, IT’S NEVER OVER, JEFF BUCKLEY illuminates one of modern music’s influential and enigmatic figures. The HBO Original documentary drops on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 9 p.m. ET.

DECEMBER 5 – STARZ’s SPARTACUS: HOUSE OF ASHUR *Series Premiere*

 	In this reimagined world, where power, passion and destiny unite in an unforgettable new story, viewers are thrust back into the brutality of Ancient Rome with the shocking resurrection of the once-defeated Ashur, played by Nick E. Announced at the IAB Report on Data in Toronto, Ont., the joint offering delivers comprehensive, privacy-compliant measurement, combining Bell Media’s premium inventory and robust first-party data with extensive point-of-sale insights from Loblaw Advance™. 

Using Environics Analytics secure privacy-compliant clean room environment, Bell Media’s audience exposure data is matched with purchase data from Loblaw Advance™. This process ensures data integrity and consumer privacy while delivering actionable insights. Advertisers can also enhance their media buys by adding an outcomes report, providing a clear connection between campaign exposure and verified purchase behaviour. 

The service is available now for advertisers buying Bell Media’s Linear TV and select Connected TV inventory and will expand to all Connected TV later this year. A part of Bell Media’s Outcome Measurements suite, the service enables brands to directly measure the sales impact of Bell Media video advertising and will provide in-depth insights on campaign performance through detailed purchase measurement reports. 

The report delivers actionable insights designed to help advertisers optimize performance and maximize return on investment. Key metrics include sales lift, which measures the incremental impact of advertising on product and brand sales, and return on ad spend (ROAS), providing a clear view of financial outcomes. By leveraging verified purchase data, advertisers can fine-tune campaigns with precision and confidently measure the effectiveness of their media investments.

HALIFAX (December 1, 2025) – CTV Atlantic gets in the holiday spirit and prepares to help families in need across the Maritimes on Saturday, Dec. 6 with the 62nd ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DADDIES TELETHON. The beloved yearly tradition is available on CTV Atlantic, CTVAtlantic.ca, and Crave beginning at 11 a.m. AT.

The 62nd ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DADDIES TELETHON partners with The Salvation Army once again to distribute toys, gifts, and food throughout the holiday season, while delivering a day-long marathon of performances by local musical artists, comedians, and other special guests.

Viewers can donate by calling 1-844-400-1964 or by visiting ChristmasDaddies.org. Throughout the month of December, pledges are also being accepted at RBC locations across the Maritimes and at Credit Unions in Cape Breton.

The Telethon’s 50/50 raffle returns with three separate draws taking place for viewers in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. Last year, the winner from Nova Scotia took home $114,512 in cash.

One of the most anticipated annual charitable fundraising initiatives in the region, the 62nd ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DADDIES TELETHON includes familiar faces from the CTV Atlantic team, as well as a multitude of special guests. Co-hosting this year in Halifax are Steve Murphy and Todd Battis, joined by CTV NEWS AT FIVE anchor Maria Panopalis alongside CTV Atlantic personalities Katie Kelly, Kalin Mitchell, Crystal Garrett, Lataevia Beezer, Suzette Belliveau, and reporters Vanessa Wright and Callum Smith. CTV YOUR MORNING ATLANTIC host Amanda Debison provides updates from the Fleet Diving Unit (Atlantic), better known as the NAVY DIVERS, who appear at various hotspot locations throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality on Telethon Day.

Since it began in 1964, the CHRISTMAS DADDIES TELETHON has raised more than $40 million for Maritime families. CTV Atlantic’s partnership with The Salvation Army provides more than 18,000 Maritime children and parents with toys and gifts during the holidays each year. All financial donations are redistributed within their originating geographic area, allowing viewers to donate within their own communities. CTV donates airtime, technical equipment, and resources for the event, while employees, families, and friends volunteer their time.

TORONTO (December 1, 2025) – Order up! Ahead of the upcoming Season 8 finale of CTV Original series MASTERCHEF CANADA, it was announced today the return of the hit competition series for Season 9. The deal for the new season was brokered by Banijay Rights, the global distribution arm of content powerhouse Banijay Entertainment.  

Judges Mary Berg, Hugh Acheson, and Craig Wong are back for the new season, with production set to begin in Spring 2026. For home cooks looking for their opportunity to enter the MASTERCHEF CANADA kitchen, casting for Season 9 is currently open at masterchefcanadacasting.ca.

TORONTO (November 28, 2025) – CTV News’ annual TOY MOUNTAIN campaign is happening now in partnership with The Salvation Army and local charity partners, bringing holiday cheer to those in need in communities across Canada.  

The annual TOY MOUNTAIN campaign is built on the generosity of viewers and listeners, aiming to make the season brighter for thousands of children. TOY MOUNTAIN encourages residents, businesses, schools, organizations, community groups, and more to collect and donate new, unwrapped toys for all age groups, with a special emphasis on gifts for infants and toddlers (0-35 months) and pre-teens (9-13 years). 

TOY MOUNTAIN campaigns are taking place at CTV News and iHeartRadio Canada stations in communities across Canada, with on-air personalities from each station sharing daily progress updates on donations. TOY MOUNTAIN campaigns benefitting The Salvation Army are happening at the following stations:

30th Anniversary of CTV News Toronto’s TOY MOUNTAIN

A major sponsor of the Toronto TOY MOUNTAIN campaign, the Toronto Area Ford Dealers Association first joined the campaign effort in 2010.
