FEBRUARY 19 – HBO Original Two-Part Documentary MURDER IN GLITTERBALL CITY  

 	From award-winning filmmakers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, this two-part documentary chronicles a 2010 murder case that starts with a 911 phone call that leads police to the gruesome discovery of a body buried in the basement of a Victorian mansion in Louisville, Kentucky. As two men face police interrogators, a story emerges of twisted liaisons. Each partner points an accusatory finger at the other and their respective accounts brim with glaring inconsistencies and false allegations. As two separate murder trials unfold, key pieces of video evidence emerge, subverting expectations about suspects Joey Banis and Jeffrey Mundt. The story is told through the lens of the community, as friends, neighbors, police, attorneys join the author of the book in sharing their perspectives. Part 1 debuts Thursday, Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. ET, followed immediately by Part 2 at 9:20 p.m. ET

FEBRUARY 20 – Crave Original Series JUDGE TYCO SPECIAL: TOUCHED BY A PRINCE *Special Premiere* 

 	Toronto’s most notorious official unofficial judge returns in a brand new 30-minute special, taking his brand of justice beyond the courtroom. Judge Tyco first exploded online in 2019 in a web series from Jae and Trey Richards, produced with Much Studios. Now Tyco returns with a 30-minute special case that’s as confusing as it is telling. It’s not just a simple disagreement--it’s two versions of one moment colliding, leaving Tyco to decide whose memory owns the real story. Scott v. Prince. Prince, a returning character from the original series, is back for this showdown, adding bigger threats and bigger confusion. Scott claims Prince hit him. Prince claims he didn’t touch him… he did give him a gentle haymaker. Whatever that means? The special keeps the bold, streetwise Toronto humour fans love, now sharpened for a wider audience, and this time, the show isn’t confined to just the courtroom. Judge Tyco is on the loose and at large. 

FEBRUARY 25 – SCRUBS *Season 1-9* 

 	An engaging (and periodically serious) look at hospital work through the eyes of a young intern, coping with unusual challenges presented by colleagues as well as patients. Starring Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, Ken Jenkins, John C. McGinley, and Judy Reyes. All nine seasons of the series drop on Crave on Wednesday, Feb. 25.

Astral

MONTRÉAL (February 17, 2026) – Astral, a division of Bell Media, announced today that Emilie Kvist, a Montréal-based interdisciplinary artist, is the winner of the second annual Prochaine Station art competition. Kvist is currently completing a master's degree in fine arts at Concordia University. Her work explores the expansion of traditional print media into realms such as sculpture, instillation, and community engagement, often through experimental processes. 

The competition gives Montréal art students the chance to take over one of the most famous transit hubs, Berri-UQAM station, by exhibiting one of their creations on the station’s largest mural. The opportunity revitalizes the station, designed to foster artistic expression and enhance the passenger experience within the Montréal metro system. Students were invited to submit original artwork that fits this year’s theme: “Montréal, a vibrant heart.” The winning artist earned a $1,000 cash prize and the opportunity for their artwork to be featured in Berri-UQAM station, and throughout the STM network from February 9 to March 8, 2026. 

“Building on the momentum of last year’s launch, the second annual Prochaine Station art competition continues to champion emerging student artists and celebrate the creativity that animates Montréal,” said Eliane Tremblay, Director of Real Estate and Business Development at Bell Media. “Through our ongoing collaboration with Transgesco, we’re proud to bring meaningful artistic expression into shared urban spaces and open the door for the next generation of creators.”

Last night’s SUPER BOWL LX attracted an average audience of 6.8 million viewers on TSN, CTV, RDS, and live streaming on Crave, according to preliminary overnight data from Numeris. Nearly 16 million unique Canadian viewers watched some or all of the NFL’s championship game, as the Seattle Seahawks claimed the 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. 

Additional Highlights:

TORONTO (February 5, 2026) – Crave announced today the acquisition of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE UK, the newly unveiled British adaptation of the late‑night franchise that has shaped comedy and pop culture for more than five decades. Premiering Saturday, March 21, the six-episode series will stream on Crave with new episodes available weekly. The news follows the recent announcement revealing premiere details and cast lineup.

 	From creator, showrunner, and director, Alex Scrymgeour, and hosted by Canadian comedy icon, Dave Foley, each episode of HOCKEY FANATICS takes viewers to a different North American city to explore the fandom around its home team. There’s a brief but intense confrontation in an early episode of THE BORDERLINE that neatly showcases the pressure points that are at play.

The new crime drama is set in a riverside town in the Thousand Islands region of Ontario (basically where Lake Ontario becomes the St. Lawrence River, with the Canada-U.S. border down the middle). A Canadian Border Intelligence Agent named Erica Ross, played by Tamara Podemski, is growing suspicious of all the connections she’s discovering between the active criminal community and the local police force.

“There are a lot of coincidences … ” Agent Ross begins, before Officer Henry Roland, played by Stephen Amell, rudely cuts her off by screaming, “and it’s a small f—ing town!”

Officer Roland’s combination of aggressiveness and defensiveness is at the heart of THE BORDERLINE, which premieres in the coveted time slot following SUPER BOWL LX on Sunday, Feb. 8 on CTV and Crave. Subsequent episodes will stream Fridays on Crave, beginning Feb. 13.

“A big part of the show is the idea of what defines you as a person, beyond just the people that you surround yourself with in your everyday life,” said Graeme Stewart, creator of THE BORDERLINE. “It also relates to the place that you come from, and the history that you share with certain people from certain backgrounds in the area that you grew up in. I think it's a bit of a conflict of interest, and as you can see in the show, that definitely becomes a bigger and bigger conflict as the story goes on.”

The six-episode series begins with Henry finding evidence that links some missing illegal substances to his childhood best friend Tommy Hawley, played by Hamza Haq. Henry embarks on an impromptu mission to save his friend, but it doesn’t take long for his plan to start unravelling, especially with Agent Ross nosing around.

Meanwhile, a ruthless British crime family led by matriarch May Ferguson, played by OSCAR® and EMMY® nominee Minnie Driver, is also on the hunt for the missing drugs – and, of course, Tommy. Katia Edith Wood, Jeremy Watson, Kate Corbett, Anna Douglas, Thomas Craig, Christopher Heyerdahl, and Diego Klattenhoff round out a very deep cast of familiar faces and talented newcomers.

“The show went through many versions and iterations in its development and creation, and it definitely evolved a lot, but a lot of the characters were there from the start,” Stewart explained. “Stephen (Amell) was definitely at the top of the list, and he was the one that really kind of solidified things when he read the script and was interested. He was the earliest attached actor for us, and was so enthusiastic and great throughout the process, really supportive of the story, and eager to dive into the Henry character. Stephen was the one we were writing towards, and hoping to get.”

Stewart continued, “our director Rob Budreau, who's fantastic, has a pretty vast history of filmmaking, so he had a few people that he was interested in. Hamza (Haq) had worked with Rob in the past, and Hamza was obviously on my radar as one of the strongest Canadian actors emerging in the industry. So as soon as he was interested in the show, there was a pretty immediate excitement there. Tamara (Podemski) is somebody I've wanted to work with for a long time. And Minnie Driver is Minnie Driver.”

There are no clear-cut heroes among the characters in THE BORDERLINE. Everyone has some mud on their shoes. And even the one person who has a fresh set of eyes on what’s going on – Podemski’s Agent Ross – isn’t above making naive choices, partly based on her own loneliness.

“It was always by design that we'd be willing to take things a little further away from just the classic hero-villain storylines,” Stewart said. “And I think Tamara Podemski's character is the outsider coming in with no burden of the past, or relationships, or history of the place. She can ask, ‘what is really going on here? Who are the good guys, and who are the bad guys?’ But she’s also trying to find her way into that history, into the old-boys club, and there is that loneliness. I think that’s an under-explored area for a lot of police officers, the isolation you feel serving a community, but not quite being of it, or in it, and being a bit of an antagonist. That’s really interesting fare for all the police officers and agents in the show, but it definitely sticks out more for her than the others.”

Stewart has a personal connection to the Thousand Islands, as he visited his grandfather in the region for many years. But he knows that the vibe in many border towns has changed, and continues to change.

“It’s one of those things where you can’t really take your eyes off the news at the moment, because all these borders are definitely full of intrigue right now,” Stewart said. “Our show is not political, but because we’re having this moment, it’s interesting to think about whatever might come next. And not just for a town like the one in the show, but also just in the way things are operated. In the general sense, everything seems susceptible to a bit more dirty work. And yeah, this is a show that has that kind of DNA built right into it.”

FEBRUARY 6 – Crave Original Series HOCKEY FANATICS *Series Premiere* 

 	From creator, showrunner, and director, Alex Scrymgeour, and hosted by Canadian comedy icon, Dave Foley, each episode of HOCKEY FANATICS takes viewers to a different North American city to explore the fandom around its home team. At every stop, Foley meets up with devoted superfans to chat about what their team means to them; tour the massive collections of memorabilia – even some that homes had to be built around; and learn about the impact the teams make in their communities. Along the way, Foley sits down for a meal with celebrity hockey fans to talk about their love and connection to their team before attending a game together. All eight episodes drop Friday, Feb. 6.

FEBRUARY 11 – ORIGIN: THE STORY OF THE BASKETBALL AFRICA LEAGUE *Series Premiere* 

 	Featuring President Barack Obama, J. Cole, Steph Curry, and Masai Ujiri, this four-part documentary series documents the creation and launch of the NBA's first collaboration to operate a league outside North America, a Pan African professional basketball league in partnership with FIBA featuring top club teams from across the African Continent, with each season culminating in a playoff tournament among the top twelve in a format similar to soccer’s Champions League. The series captures the realization of a vision decades in the making, spearheaded by Amadou Gallo Fall and Masai Ujiri, who transformed their long-held dream of elite African basketball into reality, and goes behind the scenes throughout BAL’s first season as it follows the stories of key players, coaches, and teams as they compete to be the historic first BAL champions.

FEBRUARY 13 – HBO Original Series NEIGHBORS *Series Premiere* 

 	From A24 and the producers of Marty Supreme, the HBO Original late-night series NEIGHBORS examines stories of absurd, outrageous, and dramatic real-life residential conflicts from a wide range of larger-than-life characters across the United States, opening a verité portal into the lives of contemporary Americans. Each episode introduces a new set of neighbours in the heat of their grievances, uncovering spirited disputes about property lines, animal ownership, and even a yellow Speedo. Directors and emerging talents Harrison Fishman and Dylan Redford filmed for over two years, traveling across the country and fully immersing themselves in these neighbours’ lives to capture an unfiltered and intimate portrait of everyday people and document the fundamentally American pursuits of life, liberty, and property. The series debuts on Friday, Feb. 13 at 9:00 p.m. ET, with new episodes streaming on subsequent Fridays.

FEBRUARY 20 – Crave Original Series JUDGE TYCO SPECIAL: TOUCHED BY A PRINCE *Special Premiere* 

 	Toronto’s most notorious official unofficial judge returns in a brand new 30-minute special, taking his brand of justice beyond the courtroom. Judge Tyco first exploded online in 2019 in a web series from Jae and Trey Richards, produced with Much Studios. Now Tyco returns with a 30-minute special case that’s as confusing as it is telling. It’s not just a simple disagreement--it’s two versions of one moment colliding, leaving Tyco to decide whose memory owns the real story. Scott v. Prince. Prince, a returning character from the original series, is back for this showdown, adding bigger threats and bigger confusion. Scott claims Prince hit him. Prince claims he didn’t touch him… he did give him a gentle haymaker. Whatever that means? The special keeps the bold, streetwise Toronto humour fans love, now sharpened for a wider audience, and this time, the show isn’t confined to just the courtroom. Judge Tyco is on the loose and at large. 

FEBRUARY 25 – SCRUBS *Season 1-9* 

 	An engaging (and periodically serious) look at hospital work through the eyes of a young intern, coping with unusual challenges presented by colleagues as well as patients. Starring Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, Ken Jenkins, John C. McGinley, and Judy Reyes. All nine seasons of the series drop on Crave on Wednesday, Feb. 25.

Toronto, January 30, 2026 - The Academy of Canadian Cinema &amp; Television (the Canadian Academy) announced today a landmark partnership that will bring three of Canada’s top broadcasters together to simulcast The 2026 Canadian Screen Awards, a first-of-its-kind award show that will extend this annual celebration of Canadian film and television to more Canadians than ever. Happening on May 31 at the CBC Broadcast Centre in Toronto, The 2026 Canadian Screen Awards will broadcast and stream at 8:00 PM ET on CBC, CBC Gem, Crave, CTV, Global, and STACKTV.

Taking the stage as host is Canadian actor and comedian Andrew Phung, an eight-time Canadian Screen Award winner for his iconic roles in both Kim’s Convenience and Run the Burbs.

Comedian, actor, and host Andrew Phung’s infectious and relatable personality has made him one of Canada's top and most recognized comedic performers. He is best known for his award-winning performance on the hit CBC original and Netflix show, Kim’s Convenience, where he won five Canadian Screen Awards in the category of Best Supporting Actor, Comedy. Andrew is also the co-creator, executive producer, and star of the CBC original and Hulu series Run the Burbs, for which he won the 2025 Canadian Screen Award for Best Lead Performer, Comedy. His other recent television credits include LOL: Last One Laughing Canada on Amazon Prime Video Canada, and he’s the host of the new cooking competition series Big Burger Battle on Corus’ Flavour Network.
