TORONTO (October 6, 2025) – Bell Media announced today a multi-year partnership with both FIBA and Canada Basketball which provides TSN and RDS with exclusive access to the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cups for both women and men, in addition to the rights for other premium FIBA and Canada Basketball events. 

 With Canada’s national teams continuing to rise in prominence and more Canadian players in the spotlight, the new agreement sees TSN and RDS bring fans across the country complete access to multiple marquee international events. As the networks follow all the action, additional coverage is available through TSN and RDS’s digital and social media platforms. 

 As part of the new agreement with FIBA, TSN and RDS secure broadcast and streaming rights to the following events, including all Team Canada matchups: 

 	FIBA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL WORLD CUP 2026 QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT in March 2026 


 	FIBA BASKETBALL WORLD CUP 2027 QUALIFIERS across six windows commencing in November 2025, with Team Canada’s biggest stars set to feature in July and August 2026 


 	FIBA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL WORLD CUP 2026, live from Germany in September 2026 


 	FIBA BASKETBALL WORLD CUP 2027, live from Qatar in August and September 2027 

Through the Canada Basketball agreement, TSN and RDS will broadcast GLOBL JAM, an annual showcase invitational event featuring the best under-23 men’s and women’s basketball teams from around the world.

TORONTO (October 2, 2025) – From duo to trio, there’s a new boss at Grouse Lake First Nation and he’s bringing a whole lot of diapers! After three seasons of uproarious antics, family chaos, and community love, the hit original series ACTING GOOD returns for its fourth season Mondays at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Oct. 20 with a special two-episode premiere kicking off at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV Comedy Channel, CTV.ca, and the CTV app, and streaming next day on Crave. Filmed on location in Winnipeg and Brokenhead Ojibway Nation, the 10 half-hour episodes blend humour with the ups and downs of northern first nation life at Grouse Lake.   

In Season 4, Paul (Paul Rabliauskas) is now a dad with a toddler in tow and determined to be a better man – but is still clashing with Rose (Cheyenna Sapp), a newly elected councillor finding her voice while juggling her relationship with Paul and life as a new mom. With Chief Jo (Roseanne Supernault) in Ottawa, her daughter Chickadee (Avery Sutherland) finds herself in new relationships and figuring out where she wants to be in the world. Dean (Gabriel Daniels) is still running his community store, but between needy customers, supply issues, and Cousin Leon (Michael Greyeyes) back from banishment claiming to be reformed – it’s a full-time job. Meanwhile, Lips (Jason Mason) wrestles with guilt and justice, Agnes (Tina Keeper) and Rita (Wanda Barker) enter full-on Kookum competition mode, and Roger Laughingstick (Billy Merasty) battles community chaos, artificial intelligence, and the rise of true crime podcasts.

Guest stars for Season 4 include Brent Butt (CORNER GAS), Vance Banzo (TALLBOYZ), William Belleau (Killers of the Flower Moon), Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers (Night Raiders, THREE PINES), Tatanka Means (Killers of the Flower Moon), and Darla Contois (LITTLE BIRD), along with returning guest stars Ashley Callingbull (BLACKSTONE), Miss Universe 2015 and Miss Universe Canada 2024, and Joel D. Montgrand (TRUE DETECTIVE).  

On the Season 4 premiere, titled “Diamond in the Bush” (Monday, Oct. 20 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on CTV Comedy, CTV.ca, and the CTV app, and streaming next day on Crave), Paul (Rabliauskas) hires a Lou Diamond Phillips impersonator for Agnes’ (Keeper) birthday – but panics when the guy (guest star Brent Butt, CORNER GAS) looks nothing like the real deal. To Paul’s surprise, the impersonator is a hit, charming the entire party. Feeling upstaged, Paul grows jealous and teams up with Dean (Daniels) to sabotage the celebration and get rid of the impersonator.  

In Part 2 of the two-episode premiere, titled “Mean Dads” (Monday, Oct. 20 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on CTV Comedy, CTV.ca, and the CTV app, and streaming next day on Crave), Paul (Rabliauskas) struggles to connect with his son PJ (Celones). After pressure from Stephen Harper (Aqqalu Meekis) and Rose (Cheyanna Sapp), he reluctantly takes PJ to the park where he's dazzled by “superdads” Carson (guest star William Belleau, Killers of the Flower Moon) and Jasper (guest star Vance Banzo, TALLBOYZ). Wanting to fit in, Paul exaggerates his own involvement in PJ’s life and minimizes Harper’s role.

Season 3 of ACTING GOOD ranks as the most-watched series among the key A25-54 demo for three years in a row on CTV Comedy Channel, Canada’s most-watched English entertainment specialty network. Previous seasons of ACTING GOOD are available for streaming on Crave, CTV.ca, and the CTV app.

TORONTO (October 2, 2025) – Crave announced today casting details for its new original series SLO PITCH, produced by Shaftesbury in association with Boss &amp; Co, and Elliot Page’s PAGEBOY Productions. The 10-episode, half-hour mockumentary, which is in production now through October, is centred around a queer, underdog, slo pitch softball team and their dedicated and determined coach. 

Welcome to the world of beer league sports, where Joanne Pico (Jess Salgueiro) is coach to six-time league losers, “The Public Lass Brovaries.” Coach Joanne is dead set on turning things around this season despite having just been brutally dumped by her girlfriend and co-founder of the team. Throughout the summer, Joanne leads her lovable, chaotic crew through a season of strikeouts, petty rivalries, conservative-politician sponsors, and sexy carwash fundraisers gone wrong. With her ex now playing on a rival team, Joanne’s got a lot to prove this season. It’s time to win the breakup, get the gang back together, and maybe even find new love over beers in the dugout.  

SLO PITCH also stars Karen Knox, Gwenlyn Cumyn, Chelsea Muirhead, Emma Hunter, Lane Webber, Khadijah Roberts-Abdullah, Amanda Cordner, and Emily Hampshire. 

Guest stars include actors Varun Saranga, Laura De Carteret, Don MacLean Jr., Nadine Bhabha (who is also a writer on the series) and comedians Carolyn Taylor, Chris Locke and Chris Sandiford, plus a cameo from Japanese softball pitcher Ayami Sato, who recently made history as the first woman to play in a Canadian men’s professional baseball league.  

Created by J Stevens, and Karen Knox and Gwenlyn Cumyn who also star, SLO PITCH is based on the short-form series of the same name and is developed for television by Katie Ford and Jane Cooper Ford. The series marks Bell Media’s first project with PAGEBOY Productions following the announcement of a co-development deal earlier this year. 

The series will be available to Crave audiences in both English and French, and is distributed internationally by Shaftesbury.

Canada’s Sports Leader delivers 41 Raptors games, as well as pre-season action beginning with the Raptors taking on Canadian star Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets live from Vancouver in the 2025 NBA Canada Series presented by Bell on Monday, Oct. 6 at 10 p.m. ET on TSN, TSN.ca, and the TSN app.  

Regular season coverage begins Friday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. ET on TSN, TSN.ca, and the TSN app, as the Raptors host former NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.

The new season of culinary competition series MASTERCHEF CANADA won’t be a piece of cake for the 15 wide-eyed home cooks trying to impress three experienced judges.

And who are those judges? None other than Canadian Screen Award-winning host, cookbook author, and Season 3 winner Mary Berg, internationally acclaimed chef and cookbook author Hugh Acheson, and chef and restaurateur Craig Wong.

Prior to the Season 8 special premiere – Thursday, Oct. 2 at 9 p.m. ET on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app, and streaming next day on Crave – Berg, Acheson, and Wong shared their hot takes on what’s cooking:

Q: How is the chemistry between the three of you? Maybe it’s better on a show such as this to have a bit of bad chemistry?

CRAIG WONG: “I think all three of us have such unique personalities, but there's one thing that unites us, and it's a passion and drive for food.”

HUGH ACHESON: “Not me.”

Q: You see, that’s exactly what I was talking about.

MARY BERG: “I think the dynamic between us is really fun to play with. Like Craig was saying, we all obviously want to mentor, and see these home cooks do as well as they possibly can in really tight, wild circumstances. But we all have something different to offer, which I think is fun. It would be a boring judging panel if we were all the exact same person.”

HUGH ACHESON: “Speak for yourself, I would love to be with three of me.”

MARY BERG: “I love that comment.”

HUGH ACHESON: “We're kind of like an emulsified sauce.”

MARY BERG: “We're a vinaigrette. Can I be the mustard? You're the oil (pointing to Wong), you're the vinegar (pointing to Acheson).”

HUGH ACHESON: “Craig is more like the egg yolk. But, you know, these things can break at any time.”

Q: Obviously Mary has plenty of experience with MASTERCHEF CANADA, but how familiar were Craig and Hugh with the franchise

CRAIG WONG: “I was always a huge fan of the show, so for me, it's more about the next stage in my career, where not only do I get to bring up cooks in my own kitchen, but I get to influence on a national scale. I hope that home cooks watching at home really are going to have that experience, and that connection, to these home cooks that are on their drive towards making their dreams come true.”

HUGH ACHESON: “It's a huge franchise around the world, and it has always been interesting to watch. I’ve known people who have hosted the show in other countries, so you see how the franchise works, and it’s an amazingly powerful thing to then get on there, and see it from a Canadian perspective. The home cooks are such a diverse lot of people that it becomes really identifiably Canadian, which is great. It’s just an honour to do it. And I mean, I hope Craig is influencing people, but I don't think anybody should follow my advice.”

MARY BERG: “Oh, absolutely, they should. These two, I've learned so much from them, just listening to their critiques of the home cooks. We all agreed that we really wanted to not instruct, per se, but build. As opposed to just saying, ‘this was bad,’ we're going to get into why it might not have worked properly. It’s similar to MASTERCHEF AUSTRALIA in that way. There's more of a rapport between the home cooks and judges. I know from my season on MASTERCHEF CANADA, the judges were, like, deities (laughs). You talked to them only when you gave them food, and then not at all. Not off camera, not afterwards. Obviously, I know now that they're a bunch of teddy bears, which I'm sure they wouldn't love to hear, but they are. But what’s different about this season is we really want to encourage, and also give takeaway, even for viewers at home. The culinary vernacular and knowledge that people have now, thanks to the internet, thanks to social media, is so much bigger than it was, even when I was in that kitchen.”

Q: So you’re saying the overall proficiency has improved?

MARY BERG: “I was shocked. It was incredibly high to begin with, but I was blown away. The talent that Canada has to offer is pretty much, I would say, unmatched. And as Hugh was saying, there is so much diversity in the food we got. There are so many different types of cuisines, and it's showcased so well in this season of MASTERCHEF CANADA.”

HUGH ACHESON: “But don't be fooled, there was still some horrible food.”

MARY BERG: “There are some swings and misses. You know, shoot for the stars.”

Q: What’s the one piece of advice you have for the home cooks?

HUGH ACHESON: “If you're saying things like, ‘I'm the best chef in the world,’ you probably are going to get your comeuppance very, very quickly. So I think you want to start on a pretty even keel, understand the basics of what you're doing, and have some good dishes ready that people have really loved when you've cooked them before.”

TORONTO (October 1, 2025) – Crave unveiled today the cast of its upcoming original comedy series, I KILL THE BEAR, created, written by, and starring Jared Keeso (LETTERKENNY, SHORESY). Production on the six-episode, half-hour, series is underway in Sudbury, ON and it’s set to premiere on Crave in 2026. 

I KILL THE BEAR is a comedy about a family of bear wranglers for film sets, and why – after 100 years – they’ve decided to make this film their last.  

Keeso is joined onscreen by an ensemble cast including multi-award-winning, Diamond-selling Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, Adrian Holmes (19-2, BEL-AIR), Mixed Martial Arts star Georges St-Pierre (CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER), Jonathan Torrens (TRAILER PARK BOYS), Sarah-Maude Beauchesne (BELLEFLEUR), Kristin Kreuk (SMALLVILLE), Dylan Playfair (LETTERKENNY),  Eliana Jones (SHORESY), Frederick Roy (SHORESY), and Megha Sandhu (PAINKILLER).

Produced by Boat Rocker Studios, the Crave Original docuseries offers unprecedented, behind-the-scenes access to the Canadian women’s team, and their journey through Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025. It is set to stream on Crave in 2026, followed by a broadcast on TSN.Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 is currently underway in England, with Canada defeating defending world champions New Zealand to advance to the final against the home team on Saturday, Sept. 27.
