About Radio for Cardiology
Through the Radio for Cardiology campaign, Bell Media Radio’s KICX 106 and 104.1 The DOCK have pledged to raise $1 million to help support advanced heart care at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie. The gold standard of cardiac care means receiving treatment in a cardiac catheterization lab within 90 minutes of having a heart attack. Prior to the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Heart Program opening in January 2018, this was the only region in the province without advanced cardiac services. Supporting the heart program ensures RVH is able to offer advanced cardiac diagnostics and interventions such as coronary angiogram and angioplasty, giving patients access to faster treatment, a shorter hospital stay, and reduced travel time.

About RVH
RVH is a regional health centre in Barrie, Ontario, located 80 kilometres north of Toronto. As the largest hospital in the region of Simcoe Muskoka, RVH’s team of over 423 physicians, 2,500 employees and 750 volunteers provides exceptional care and specialty services to almost half a million residents, including cancer care, stroke services, orthopedics, intensive care, mental health and interventional radiology. RVH is focused on delivering high-quality, safe care that puts patients and their families first. For more information visit www.rvh.on.ca
