2015 NCAA® MARCH MADNESS® on TSN is Most-Watched Ever

TORONTO (April 7, 2015) – The 2015 NCAA® MARCH MADNESS® on TSN was a slam dunk, netting record audiences for the network, with last night’s Final and Saturday’s Final Four ranking as the two most-watched NCAA® basketball games on record. Overall, audiences were up 24% compared to last year’s NCAA® MARCH MADNESS®. In total, 6.9 million unique Canadian viewers watched some part of the tournament on TSN The 2015 NCAA® MARCH MADNESS® marked the first time TSN leveraged its multiple national feeds to showcase even more of the tournament, delivering a record amount of live coverage – tripling the live coverage it delivered last year – that included every game in its entirety across TSN and TSN GO. “We brought Canadians more NCAA® MARCH MADNESS® than ever before and we’re thrilled with the response,” said Shawn Redmond, Vice-President of Programming and Marketing, TSN. “It’s clear there is a growing appetite for this tournament and we look forward to continuing to elevate its popularity in Canada.” Audience Highlights
  • According to overnight data from Numeris (BBM Canada)*, audiences for last night’s Final were up 62% compared to last year, as an average audience of 325,000 viewers on TSN watched Duke win its fifth national title in a 68-63 comeback win over Wisconsin
  • A record average audience of 267,000 viewers watched last Saturday’s Final Four on TSN
Basketball on TSN TSN’s basketball coverage continues with NBA ON TSN and the first-ever BIOSTEEL ALL-CANADIAN BASKETBALL GAME on Tuesday, April 14 at 10 p.m. ET on TSN.
