At the conclusion of tonight’s episode of CTV’s THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, it was revealed that Hal and Joanne, married fitness icons from Oakville, ON, were the fourth team eliminated from the competition series. The “BodyBreak” couple had a rough go in Regina, after taking a two-hour penalty at the lentil challenge, before being U-Turned by the Tims. Following the “brawn” and “beauty” challenges in the heart of Rider Nation, Hal and Joanne were the last team to the mat, resulting in their elimination.

When asked about their elimination, Joanne said, “I think we got U-Turned after Hal got the tickets to Edmonton. Tim Sr. is really the decision maker in that process, and I think that he’s probably just intimidated. He just didn’t feel that he can compete with us.”

Next week on THE AMAZING RACE CANADA (airing Monday, Aug. 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and live on CTV Mobile), the remaining five teams race to Quebec City, where the Sisters get lost en route. Language skills are lacking, leaving some teams tongue-tied and twisted, and at the Roadblock, Vanessa gets crushed by crepes. Meanwhile, at the Detour, the Sisters’ choice could prove costly. The remaining competitors vying for the historic half a million dollar grand prize are:
