Montréal, July 2, 2025 – Crave announced today additional casting for its original series BON COP, BAD COP, which is currently in production in Québec. The bilingual series, which is set to feature dialogue in both English and French, is scheduled to debut on Crave in 2026. Henry Czerny assumes the role of Martin Ward, alongside new cast members Joshua Odjick, as Gesgapegiag police chief; Christine Beaulieu as Kim, a Sûreté du Québec lieutenant; Nathaniel Arcand as band chief; and Robin Joël Cool and Antoine Vézina, as the Canadian Prime Minister and Premier of Québec. Also set to make appearances on BON COP, BAD COP are Wayne Charles Baker, Josée Bourgeois, Irdens Exantus, Nathan Jean-Huard, Charles-Aubey Houde, Brenda Odjick, Liam Condo and Q052, plus renowned drag artists Rita Baga, Mona de Grenoble, Barbada, Bobépine, and Bambi Dextrous. The new cast members join previously announced Patrick Huard and Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse, who reprise their roles from the original films as David Bouchard, and his daughter, Gabrielle. “Never in my career has a project been so engaging, exhilarating and exciting,” said Patrick Huard. “The BON COP, BAD COP series returns to the roots of what inspired the first film, the clash of cultures and personalities, with the added bonus of the clash of generations and the importance of territory.” “I would also like to welcome Henry Czerny as Martin Ward,” continued Huard. “He’s a wonderful actor and partner on this project and I have no doubt that the audience will fall in love with him as quickly as I, and the whole team, did.” In BON COP, BAD COP, David (Patrick Huard) and Martin (Henry Czerny) team up for an investigation that takes them across Canada after the band chief of an Indigenous community in Gaspésie (Nathaniel Arcand) mysteriously disappears. They are joined by a new cadre of cops who are just as unorthodox as they are: Gabrielle (Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse), David’s daughter, who has her father’s stubborn streak; Joe (Joshua Odjick), an intrepid Micmac police officer from Gesgapegiag; and Kim (Christine Beaulieu), a Sureté du Québec lieutenant who is generally skeptical of David’s methods. BON COP, BAD COP is a Jessie Films and PaNik Fictions production in collaboration with Bell Media. The writing team, which is overseen by head screenwriter Patrick Huard, includes Michel Jean, Quentin Condo, Suzie Bouchard, Éric K. Boulianne, Sébastien Ravary, and Benoît Chartier. The six one-hour episodes are directed by Patrick Huard, Myriam Bouchard, Anik Jean and Podz. Anik Jean is composing the original music for the series.
