TORONTO (January 22, 2019) – Bell Media’s Much Studios announced today that the highly anticipated debut of 4YE’s comedy web series, JUDGE TYCO is streaming worldwide today on Much.com and on the 4YE YouTube. Written, produced, and starring long-time Much Studios creators Jae and Trey Richards of 4YE, new episodes will be released every Tuesday through March 5.
Seeking justice – “on the mandem level”, the seven-part web series takes place in a courtroom where Tyco, based on his reputation of being one of Toronto’s top goons, is appointed judge. Totally unqualified, Judge Tyco presides over local trivial cases in Toronto and the GTA.
JUDGE TYCO guest stars ETALK reporter Tyrone Edwards and Much Studios creator Jus Reign. An exclusive sneak peek of the first three episodes of JUDGE TYCO is currently available on SnackableTV.
As previously announced at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montréal, JUDGE TYCO is based on 4YE’s popular recurring character Tyco, best known for the “T-Dot Goon Scrap DVD” skits. 4YE’s wildly successful follow up video “T-Dot Goon Scrap DVD 2” features a cameo by Drake, and currently has more than 1.5 million views on YouTube.
In the first episode of JUDGE TYCO, a conflict ensues between Spinz, a party-goer, and Rex (Tyrone Edwards), an event planner. What Spinz thought was a poolside “super soaker” water-gun party is actually a traditional “super” Soca celebration, complete with paint throwing. Spinz seeks justice for his most treasured jersey, now covered in paint.
More information on the JUDGE TYCO web series, including images, show synopses, and episode loglines, is available on BellMedia.ca/PR.
4YE, formally 4Yall Entertainment, are brothers Jae and Trey Richards. For more than seven years, the Brampton-born, Toronto-based comedy duo have been creating stand-out content, amassing a loyal audience of more than one million YouTube subscribers and more than 100 million lifetime views, and garnering praise from A-list entertainers including Marlon and Damon Wayans and Drake. Since joining Much Studios in 2015, 4YE has increased their average audience growth by more than five times, and have each gained more than 110,000 followers on Instagram.
