Freshwater detective and biologist Jeremy Wade is set to embark on a mission to uncover horrifying killers from the depths of history in the Canadian co-produced two-hour special RIVER MONSTERS: PREHISTORIC TERROR, airing Monday, May 25 at 8 p.m. ET/11 p.m. PT on Discovery. Super-sized piranhas, fanged swamp sharks, a fresh-water fish the size of a boxcar, and the nightmarish “buzz-saw killer” are but a few of the real-life predators from long-lost worlds that Wade encounters on his quest to unveil the most terrifying water-dwelling monsters ever to have lived, including a prehistoric slitherer found off the Pacific coast of Canada.   But first, in all-new episodes of RIVER MONSTERS, Wade and crew continue hunting for murderous underwater beasts all over the world. Upcoming highlights include:   Jungle Terminator Monday, May 4 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT Wade is in the Amazonian rainforest investigating the death of three people in three different countries. He seeks the help of the Matia Tribe from the Brazilian countryside to help solve the cases in Brazil, Colombia, and Peru.   Body Snatcher Monday, May 11 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT In the remote rivers of Guyana, Wade is on the hunt for a new candidate in the category of largest freshwater fish in the world.
