Highlights This Week April 29 – THE BIG SHOT WITH BETHENNY *Series Premiere*

• In the new HBO Max series, THE BIG SHOT WITH BETHENNY, the next generation of business moguls compete for a chance to be second-in-command to business tycoon and Skinnygirl founder Bethenny Frankel, and win a coveted position working on her executive team. In business and in life, Frankel never settles and only accepts excellence. Through a series of real-life tasks and challenges, each aspiring mogul will be tested to see how far they can push their creativity and determination to rise to the top. The first two episodes of the seven-episode series premiere Thursday, April 29, with two episodes launching May 6 and two on May 13. The finale drops on May 20.

April 30 – BARB AND STAR GO TO VISTA DEL MAR *Movie Premiere*

• From co-stars and co-writers Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo, BARB AND STAR GO TO VISTA DEL MAR, drops on Crave Friday, April 30. Lifelong friends Barb and Star embark on the adventure of a lifetime when they decide to leave their small Midwestern town for the first time ever. Also dropping on Crave the same day, subscribers can catch Wiig and Mumolo’s hit collaboration, BRIDESMAIDS.

May 1 – RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE DOWN UNDER *Series Premiere*

• G’Day Mate! The fiercest queens in Australia and New Zealand bring it all to the main stage in the series premiere of RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE DOWN UNDER, debuting Saturday, May 1. The latest addition to the Drag Race franchise is judged by RuPaul, Michelle Visage, and Aussie comedian Rhys Nicholson, who will see 10 queens serving high fashion realness, challenges, both shady and heartfelt moments in the werkroom, and of course, the all-important lip-sync for your life battles. RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE DOWN UNDER follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes dropping Saturdays.

May 2 – STARZ’s THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE *Season 3 Premiere*

• Season 3 of the STARZ limited series THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE premieres with two episodes on Sunday, May 2. THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE is a reimagining of Steven Soderbergh’s 2009 critically-acclaimed movie of the same name, and explores the relationships between exclusive escorts and their clients. Known as GFEs, they are women who provide “The Girlfriend Experience” – emotional and sexual relationships at a very high price. The third instalment of the anthology series is set amidst the London tech scene. Iris (Julia Goldani Telles, THE AFFAIR), a neuroscience major, begins to explore the transactional world of The Girlfriend Experience, only to find herself deep inside the uncanny valley with the relationships she creates. Iris quickly learns that her client sessions provide her with a compelling edge in the tech world and vice versa. She then begins to question whether her actions are driven by free will, or something else altogether, and heads down a deep path of exploration. THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes available to stream Sundays on STARZ.

Crave’s Hot Docs Collection

• As the Canadian filmmaking community gathers virtually to celebrate the best in documentary film at the annual Hot Docs Festival (happening April 29-May 9), Crave highlights past festival selections with the Hot Docs Collection. Available now, the collection features notable documentary titles such as: Canadian documentary KILLING PATIENT ZERO, HBO’s I LOVE YOU NOW DIE and MOONLIGHT SONATA: DEAFNESS IN THREE MOVEMENTS, SHOWTIME’s THE FOURTH ESTATE, O.J.: MADE IN AMERICA, and more. As was recently announced, documentaries IN THE SAME BREATH and STREET GANG: HOW WE GOT TO SESAME STREET will screen at Hot Docs prior to their debut on Crave later this year.
