ARROW Takes Aim on a Special Day and Time Tomorrow Night on CTV

Toronto,ON (Nov. 5, 2012) Following back-to-back weeks of heroicratings on CTV, one of the fall season’s most talked-about new series, ARROW, takes aim on a one time only special day and timetomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PTon CTV before being promoted to its new and permanent home on CTV, Wednesdays at 7 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Nov. 14. Canada’s #1 new series of the fall season for youngerwomen drew an impressive 1.7 million viewers last Wednesday in a surprisingcliffhanger episode.

 

“Heading intothe fall television season as one of the most-buzzed about new series, ARROW has been right on target with gripping episodesweek-after-week,” said Phil King, President,CTV Programming and Sports. “With a charming lead, a talented ensemble cast andstaff of writers, along with the introduction of fan favourite DC comiccharacters, viewers can look forward to all-new episodes in its new CTVtimeslot.”   

 

Tomorrow night’s ARROW,entitled “Damaged” (Tuesday, Nov. 6at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV), follows up on the suspense from Wednesday night’scliffhanger episode, as Detective Lance (Paul Blackthorne) arrestsOliver (Stephen Amell) for murder. Oliver tells his mother Moira (SusannaThompson) the only lawyer he’ll allow to represent him is his ex-girlfriendLaurel (Katie Cassidy), who takes the case despite the fact that it puts her atodds with her father. When Oliver offers to take a polygraph in front ofDetective Lance, things get tense as Lance triggers flashbacks of Oliver’s timeon the island.

 

In the newepisode of ARROW entitled “Legacies” debuting in its newtimeslot, Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, a gang of bank robbers hits a local bank andwounds an off-duty police officer during a heist. Diggle (David Ramsey) tellsOliver (Stephen Amell) he needs to deviate from his father’s list and starthelping the citizens of Starling City. Meanwhile, Tommy (Colin Donnell) asksThea (Willa Holland) for relationship advice, but things get awkward when sherealizes he was asking about Laurel (Katie Cassidy). Moira (Susanna Thompson)confronts Oliver about all of his recent disappearances in the middle of familyfunctions.

Viewers can also look forward to the introduction of the DC comic characterFirefly, played by Andrew Dunbar (STARGATE UNIVERSE, BATTLESTAR GALLATICA), as reported by EW.com.Also joining the series is the DC comic character the Huntress, played by JessicaDe Gouw (THE MYSTERY OF A HANSOM CAB), alsoreported by EW.com. The Huntress will appear in the show’s 8thepisode while Firefly will appear in the show’s 10th, joining DCcharacters Deadshot
(MichaelRowe; Sleepy Stories), China White (Kelly Hu; The ScorpionX2), and Deathstroke (Slade Wilson; SMALLVILLE).

 

Fans of genre programming and well-developed abs canget their fanboy fix with a new ARROW digital comic. A new page willbe released in advance of each week’s episode at CTV.ca/Arrow/Comicsculminating in a full 22-page comic book at the end of the season.

 

ARROW also airs Fridays at 7 p.m. ET on MuchMusic. Viewers can catch up onfull episodes of ARROW across CTV’sdigital platforms following its television broadcast on CTV.ca, the CTV App, the CTV Mobile channel, andthrough video on demand partners.

 

ARROW stars Stephen Amell (HUNG) as Oliver Queen, Katie Cassidy(GOSSIP GIRL) as Laurel Lance, Colin Donnell (PAN AM) as Tommy Merlyn, DavidRamsey (DEXTER) as John Diggle, Willa Holland (GOSSIP GIRL) as Thea Queen,Susanna Thompson (COLD CASE) as Moira Queen, and Paul Blackthorne (THE RIVER)as Detective Quentin Lance.
