– Astral to manage hundreds of Toronto Bike Share advertising faces –

Astral, a division of Bell Media and Canada’s leading out-of-home advertising solution provider, announced today a new partnership with the Toronto Parking Authority (TPA). Effective immediately, the agreement allocates more than 400 advertising faces to Toronto’s Bike Share Stations located in key areas across the city. This partnership complements Astral’s Street Furniture portfolio, which currently includes more than 6,000 faces displayed on both static and digital transit shelters, as well as signature columns, all strategically located in key areas of the Toronto urban core and its surroundings. These 400 new faces are exposed to more than 2.4M rides annually and allow for specific audience targeting in the urban landscape. “This exclusive partnership with the Toronto Parking Authority offers advertisers a first-in-class infrastructure, providing a simplified purchasing process with more choices and an expanded product line all under one roof,” said Farshad Kajouii, General Manager of Sales and Business Development, Astral and Bell Media. “It allows for precise and flexible targeting, delivering messages where it counts.’’ The agreement reinforces Astral’s position as a market leader in out-of-home advertising and demonstrates its absolute commitment to answering the needs of its clients with a state-of-the-art portfolio of products displayed in premium locations and proximity point of interest. ‘’TPA is excited to partner with Astral to further support our city and residents with an alternative transportation option that’s healthy, environmentally friendly and convenient,’’ said Robin Oliphant, Acting President of Toronto Parking Authority. “Bike Share Toronto is experiencing strong growth, with membership now up over 60% compared to last year, following our recent expansion of the system to 6,850 bikes and 625 stations, covering over 200 km2 of Toronto.’’
