VICTORIA, B.C. (October 27, 2026) — Astral, a division of Bell Media, today announced the launch of its new digital transit shelter network, delivering 30 premium digital advertising faces across key commuter corridors throughout Victoria. Developed in partnership with the City of Victoria, the network represents Astral’s first street furniture concession designed as a fully digital program.  As part of the phased rollout, 28 digital screens are now live and in service. The final two locations are expected to go live in early November, completing the full 30-screen network. The launch builds on Astral’s continued investment in digital out-of-home advertising and expands opportunities for advertisers to connect with audiences through dynamic, high-impact environments.  “The launch of this network represents an exciting milestone for Astral and the evolution of our out-of-home business,” said Michele Erskine, Vice-President, Out of Home, Bell Media. “As our first fully digital street furniture program, it expands our digital footprint in a growing market while delivering greater flexibility and impact for advertisers. At the same time, we’re also helping support infrastructure investments that will benefit the community for years to come.”  The new network provides expanded opportunities for local and national advertisers while also supporting dedicated municipal communications. The agreement includes the installation of 48 non-advertising transit shelters across the city, including two shelters featuring living green roofs. The shelter rollout is scheduled to continue through November and December 2026.   In addition to digital messaging opportunities, the reverse side of each digital unit includes static faces reserved exclusively for City of Victoria information.
