Astral Out of Home Announces Toronto and Western Canada Winners of the 2017 CARTE BLANCHE FOR CREATIVES Competition

MONTREAL (May 16, 2017) – Astral Out of Home, a division of Bell Media, announced the Toronto and Western Canada winners of its CARTE BLANCHE FOR CREATIVES competition earlier this week. Launched in March, the 8th edition of CARTE BLANCHE competition drew 272 ideas and asked participants from across Canada to create an original ad in the format of a digital superboard for one of their agency clients. “We’re delighted to see the CARTE BLANCHE competition generating more and more enthusiasm each year,” said Michael Alexandor, Vice-President, Marketing and Innovation, Bell Media Sales. “The high quality of work leveraged the strengths of the digital technology, most notably in terms of its ability to tie into real time RSS feeds. The winning teams will fly off to the south of France for The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, and their clients will receive a $50,000 campaign on the Astral Out of Home Digital network. The creative teams that placed second and third will receive a MacBook Retina and an iPad Pro, respectively. Winners for the Montréal market will be announced on May 26th. The CARTE BLANCHE FOR CREATIVES competition was launched in 2010 by Astral Out of Home to recognize and support the best creativity in Out of Home. Projects submitted by winners and finalists are available on the competition website, as well as on Facebook and Twitter.
