AUGUST 17 – HBO Max’s TRACY MORGAN: TAKIN’ IT TOO FAR *Comedy Special*
- Two-time Emmy®-nominated actor and comedian Tracy Morgan leaves it all on the stage in his most edgy and fearless special yet. The seasoned comedy veteran unabashedly tackles topics such as dating in his 50s (along with the unexpected side effects that comes with it), his dysfunctional family, attempting to reverse gentrification in Brooklyn, and the very public 2014 car accident that left him with multiple broken bones, a traumatic brain injury, and a substantial settlement. TRACY MORGAN: TAKIN’ IT TOO FAR premieres Thursday, Aug. 17
- Returning for a second season, the Crave original series PILLOW TALK is a 10-episode comedy series that follows the hilarity and drama experienced by four diverse couples and a pair of roommates, all in the intimacy of their bedrooms. An adaptation of Noovo’s popular French-language series ENTRE DEUX DRAPS, created by Matthieu Pepper and François St-Amant, the series is realistic in tone, as each episode explores in a raw, and unexpected way, what happens behind closed doors when couples tangle over sex, ambition, parenthood, and even underwear. Season 2 of PILLOW TALK drops on Friday, Aug. 18.
- From acclaimed filmmaker James Gray, ARMAGEDDON TIME is a deeply personal coming-of-age story about the strength of family and the generational pursuit of the American Dream. The film features an all-star cast including Anthony Hopkins, Anne Hathaway, and SUCCESSION’s Jeremy Strong. ARMAGEDDON TIME streams Friday, Aug. 18.
- BS HIGH tracks the origins of a fabricated high school that grew from the determined imagination of a self-described “honest liar,” a man with an inimitable storytelling style butwith a lack of academic credentials and seemingly no football coaching experience. At turns charmingly avuncular and menacingly unrepentant, Johnson’s pursuit of the spotlight stands in contrast to the stories of the many lives he impacted, as he dashed the hopes of his teenage wards, left their reputations in ruins, and swindled their families. BS HIGH shines a light on the intense competition for football glory, the lack of accountability for wide scale fraud, and the devastation that one man’s pathology can leave in its wake. BS High debuts Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 9 p.m. ET.
