What Critics Are Saying about Crave’s THE GO-GO’s
“
How Can You Not Love the Go-Go’s?”
“As we learn in the ebullient, amazing, often hilarious Showtime documentary The Go-Go’s, the defining girl group of the Eighties can match any bro band in tales of wild excess and savage infighting […]”
– Kyle Smith, National Review
“
There’s More to The Go-Go’s Than Peppy Hits”
“The Go-Go’s isn’t just a feminist love letter that humanizes the group and highlights their talent. Ellwood ultimately shows the group as a proper rock band without the female asterisk; you’re left seeing more than some all-female blip in musical history.”
– Tracy Moore, Vanity Fair
“
“The Go-Go’s”—and The Go-Go’s—are both such a blast that they ultimately make you long for more.”
“[…] what makes this documentary feel specific and alive is the way [Ellwood] vividly takes us back to the early days, letting The Go-Go’s reminisce about their beginnings and tell their own stories […]”
–
Christy Lemire, Rogerebert.com
“
‘The Go-Go’s’ documentary will make you fall head over heels again”
“The Go-Go’s” has pretty much everything you’d want in a rock documentary, presenting an oral history of the chart-topping all-female group with sex, drugs, music, money, and the intramural squabbling and wounded egos great success tends to unleash.”

Brian Lowry, CNN
