TORONTO (September 11, 2015) – NFL football is back and Canada is watching. Last night’s highly-anticipated NFL Kickoff Game that saw Tom Brady and the New England Patriots defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers 28-21 attracted an average audience of 708,000 viewers on TSN – 40% higher than last season’s NFL Kickoff Game (506,000), according to preliminary overnight data from Numeris. The game was the third-most-watched NFL opener ever on Canadian television. Overall, 3 million unique Canadian viewers tuned in to watch some or all of the game on TSN.
