Bell Media Kicks Off Holiday Season with 2015 Edition of TOY MOUNTAIN WINNIPEG Campaign, Today – December 4

WINNIPEG (December 4, 2015) – Bell Media Winnipeg television and radio stations are preparing to spread holiday cheer and make the season brighter for families across Winnipeg with the 2015 edition of TOY MOUNTAIN WINNIPEG in support of The Salvation Army. Starting Today – Friday, Dec. 4 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., CTV Winnipeg, 99.9 BOB FM, 103.1 Virgin Radio, and TSN 1290 Winnipeg are on location at CF Polo Park (1485 Portage Ave.) for TOY MOUNTAIN WINNIPEG, united in a singular mission: to collect and distribute a mountain toys for children in need. “With the help of our community partners, we hope to build a mountain of toys and collect monetary donations for local families in need,” said Jeff Bollenbach, General Manager, CTV Winnipeg, 99.9 BOB FM, 103.1 Virgin Radio, and TSN 1290. “The people of Manitoba understand the true spirit of giving, and their generous support will help thousands of families celebrate the holiday season.” “For families enduring financial hardship, there is heartache in spending money on food, shelter, or clothing instead of toys during the holidays,” said Lt. Mark Young, Executive Director, Weetamah, Salvation Army. “We are thankful that through this TOY MOUNTAIN partnership, we are able to help ensure that children across Winnipeg are given the Christmas they deserve, no matter the financial situation of the family.” Listeners and viewers are encouraged to take part in the campaign by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy or by making a financial donation to TOY MOUNTAIN WINNIPEG located at CF Polo Park Centre Court, and visit with their favourite local television personalities and radio hosts, who will be broadcasting live from TOY MOUNTAIN WINNNIPEG. Toy donations can also be made at any local Fire Hall or Police Station until Sunday, Dec. 20. In addition, Scotiabank locations throughout the region will accept toys and monetary donations right up to December 24. At any time throughout the campaign, participants can make a financial donation online at TOY MOUNTAIN WINNIPEG.
