TORONTO (June 9, 2020) – Honoured for outstanding achievements in electronic and digital journalism, Bell Media congratulates its team members on their 49 wins from the
2020 RTDNA National and Regional Awards. Announced virtually today by the Radio Television Digital News Association, Bell Media was recognized with 46 Regional, Network, and National wins.

Terry Vogt were each presented with an esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award, highlighting their many contributions to journalism in Canada.

CTV News received top honours in the national categories, taking home Bert Cannings Awards for Best Newscast in both the small/medium and large markets by
CTV London and
CTV Vancouver, respectively.
CTV Vancouver also took home the Charlie Edwards Award for Breaking News for their “Wicked Weather” snowstorm coverage. CTV News also received two national Dave Rogers Awards for
CTV News Vancouver Island (short feature), and
CTV News Ottawa (long feature).
CTV News’ 2019 federal election campaign Truth Tracker initiative was recognized with the award for Excellence in Innovation;
CTV Montreal’s collaboration with Concordia University, “From Shore to Sky: A Reconciliation Story”, received the Digital Media Award; and CP24’s
CP24 BREAKFAST received the Dejero Award for Best Technical Innovation.
In the radio categories,
Adam Stirling of Victoria’s
CFAX 1070 received the Sam Ross Award for Opinion and Commentary.
TSN was honoured with three Network wins, including Best Podcast, Best Sports Feature Reporting, and Best Live Special Events for the network’s coverage of the 2019 Grey Cup.
