Tags: @CraveCanada, @Crave_PR, @BodaciousWine TORONTO (January 29, 2021) – Bell Media and Bodacious Wines, from Arterra Wines Canada, announced today a new partnership that delivers emotional stories and connections through a three-part, short-form, unscripted series, THE STRANGER EXPERIMENT. All three episodes of the series (approx. 20 minutes each) were produced by Bell Media Studios and are available for streaming now on Crave. THE STRANGER EXPERIMENT explores what happens when complete strangers meet for the first time in the midst of a global pandemic. Each episode features three pairs of strangers with polar opposite personalities as they answer revealing questions to discover if they can see past their differences and find common ground over a glass of wine. From a nudist and a fashion stylist, to a minimalist and extreme collector, participants challenge their beliefs, reveal their vibrant personalities, and explore the true meaning of being “bodacious.” “The pandemic has demonstrated how important human connections are,” said Perry MacDonald, Vice President, Advertising Sales & Partnerships, Bell Media. “We’re thrilled to partner with Bodacious Wines to deliver a short escape for Crave subscribers, and bring two premium brands together via this unique and entertaining initiative.” Synopses for all three episodes of THE STRANGER EXPERIMENT are below:
  • Episode 1: A proud nudist bares it all to a celebrity fashion stylist. Will a minimalist and extreme collector find middle ground? Can a Gen Z influencer learn a lesson from a bodacious Boomer?
  • Episode 2: Will a drag star and Shakespearian actor discover their common connection? Can a therapist see right through a stand-up comedian? Are all genres of music created equal? An opera singer and metal front man hash it out.
  • Episode 3: What happens when a paranormal skeptic confronts a psychic medium? Where do a funeral director and a sex therapist collide? Can a happily single bachelorette take a lesson in love from a matchmaker?
Other elements of the partnership include:
  • Prominent editorial placement on ca and the Crave app alongside other new movie and television releases
  • Full media campaign on various Bell Media broadcast, digital, out of home, and social platforms
