TORONTO (November 26, 2020) – Bell Media has partnered with Mackenzie Investments to develop and produce a first-to-market, four-part content series for BNN Bloomberg. The 30-minute, advisor-focused episodes of BUILDING PORTFOLIOS FOR THE NEXT DECADE are currently airing on BNN Bloomberg and LinkedIn Live.
COVID-19 has dramatically reshaped the economic environment, from low yields to high uncertainty, leaving investors to rethink their asset mixes for future growth. That volatility underscores the importance of prudent management to build a durable, well-diversified portfolio to guard against unexpected bumps in the road. Every Thursday at 7 p.m. ET on BNN Bloomberg, and on LinkedIn Live through Thursday, Dec. 3, BUILDING PORTFOLIOS FOR THE NEXT DECADE has been exploring topics focused on building wealth over the next 10 years.
“Bell Media’s Brand Partnerships team and BNN Bloomberg are proud to work with Mackenzie Investments and their media agency OMD in Montréal to create this timely value-added content for consumers,” said Justin Stockman, Vice-President, Brand Partnerships and Client Strategy, Bell Media. “By leveraging Bell Media’s extensive production capabilities and working with BNN Bloomberg to deliver it to an engaged and relevant audience, we’ve created this compelling series on how Canadian investors can strategize to grow their portfolios.”
Available now at BNNBloomberg.ca, the series’ first episode focuses on “Durable Equities.” Hosted by personal finance educator and author Kelley Keehn, the program hears from thought leaders and experts from Mackenzie Investments with insight on international equity markets, including John Cook, Portfolio Manager, Mackenzie Global Environmental Equity Fund and President and Director of Greenchip Financial, who discusses how to navigate the pandemic’s market impact. Putnam Investments Inc.’s Richard Bodzy and Greg McCullough speak to durable, high-growth investment themes, and Darren McKiernan, Head of Team for the Mackenzie Global Equity and Income Team, discusses the importance of diversification.
The second episode, also available now at BNNBloomberg.ca, looks at “Accessible Alternatives.” With the evolution of the 60/40 portfolio, Mackenzie Investments is looking to democratize alternatives and lead the charge in building more modern portfolios with their Accessible Alternatives approach. Alternative investments can provide more comprehensive diversification and a higher level of protection during volatile markets. Hosted by BNN Bloomberg’s Larry Berman, the discussion around the role of Alternative and investors diversifying their portfolio options features Todd Mattina, Chief Economist and Co-Lead of Mackenzie Multi-Asset Strategies; Barry McInerney, President and Chief Executive Officer at Mackenzie Investments; and Stuart Waugh, Managing Partner of Northleaf Capital.
