TORONTO (April 10, 2015) – Before the inaugural BIOSTEEL ALL-CANADIAN BASKETBALL GAME tips off at Toronto’s Mattamy Athletic Centre on Tuesday, April 14, organizers today announced a slate of skills events, including the Sport Chek 3 Point Shootout, BMO Slam Dunk Competition, and BioSteel Future All-Canadians Game. The skills events will take place at the Athlete Institute in Orangeville, Ont. on Monday, April 13. TSN delivers highlights, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content from the Sport Chek 3 Point Shootout, BMO Slam Dunk Competition, and BioSteel Future All-Canadians Game. Participants for the skills events will be announced on Monday, April 13. The BioSteel Future All-Canadians Game features the top Grade 9 and 10 basketball players from the southern Ontario region. The game showcases prospective candidates who may be selected to compete in the BIOSTEEL ALL-CANADIAN BASKETBALL GAME in future seasons. The players on the roster are as follows:

The two teams will be coached by Charles Hantoumakos, Senior Prep Basketball Coach at Bill Crothers Secondary School, and Koven Padayachee, basketball coach at Orangeville District Secondary School. The athletes were chosen by an 11-person selection committee, led by Tony McIntyre, the BIOSTEEL ALL-CANADIAN BASKETBALL GAME Operations Director and Selection Committee Chairman. The committee is comprised of a cross-section of Canadian basketball stakeholders, including provincial/territorial representatives, clubs, coaches, and scouts from across the country. As announced in March, the BIOSTEEL ALL-CANADIAN BASKETBALL GAME is a new showcase event featuring the next generation of Canadian basketball stars. TSN airs the BIOSTEEL ALL-CANADIAN BASKETBALL GAME on Tuesday, April 14 immediately following the Toronto Raptors’ game against the Boston Celtics. TSN’s broadcast team features play-by-play commentator Dan Shulman and NBA ON TSN analyst Leo Rautins, a member of the Canadian Basketball Hall of Fame.
