TORONTO (June 21, 2013) – Featuring a fresh weekday schedule, viewers can continue to count on BNN as their source for up-to-the-minute business news.  The new daytime schedule launches Tuesday, July 2, and features new assignments for BNN anchors and fast-paced news coverage with more on-air reporters than ever before.

Below are details for BNN’s new weekday summer programming schedule (Monday-Friday, unless otherwise noted; all times ET):

7 a.m. – THE STREET

Before the markets open, THE STREET hosts Saijal Patel and Paul Bagnell offer viewers the latest on company developments and economic reports, plus expert analysis from Bay Street and Wall Street. 

9 a.m. – BUSINESS DAY

Tony Keller joins Frances Horodelski on BUSINESS DAY, the show that puts a spotlight on the stocks and stories moving morning markets.

11:30 a.m. – BERMAN’S CALL (Mondays)

Host Larry Berman takes calls and answers emails from BNN viewers on everything from the latest market making swings to advice on the hottest ETF’s on BERMAN’S CALL.

11:30 a.m. – COMMODITIES (Tuesdays-Fridays)

Andrew Bell hosts COMMODITIES, providing insight into the hot world of commodities and the companies that produce them, including interviews with mineral and mining entrepreneurs from Canada and around the globe.

12:00 p.m. – THE BUSINESS NEWS

At Noon, Greg Bonnell and Amber Kanwar provide a complete roundup of the morning’s most important events on THE BUSINESS NEWS. Expanded to a one-hour format, THE BUSINESS NEWS features comprehensive coverage of all the market, company, and economic news of note.

1 p.m. – MARKET CALL

Michael Hainsworth hosts Canada’s leading stock market call-in program, MARKET CALL, extended to a full hour starting July 2nd. Hainsworth talks with top fund managers and market analysts, and takes viewers calls on everything from small caps to ETFs.

2 p.m. – BUSINESS DAY

Catherine Murray moves to the afternoon edition of BUSINESS DAY, reporting on top stories and business news as the markets head for the close.

3:30 p.m. – THE CLOSE

In a focused one-hour broadcast of THE CLOSE, host Michael Hainsworth guides viewers through the final half-hour of trading, and recaps what transpired during the whole day. Then, the focus shifts to earnings reports and other significant business news after the closing bell.

4:30 p.m. – MARKET SENSE (Mondays-Thursdays)

Catherine Murray and Randy Cass host MARKET SENSE at a new earlier time. Market Sense continues to offer perspective and opinion on the day’s market moving stories.

4:30 p.m. – WEEKLY WITH ANDREW MCCREATH (Fridays)

Also in a new time, WEEKLY WITH ANDREW MCCREATH  covers the market action of the week during discussions with some of the biggest names in the world of finance.

5 p.m. – TAKING STOCK

After the markets close, BNN recaps the top financial stories of the day on BNN, providing viewers with a review of the best interviews and analysis of the day on TAKING STOCK.

6 p.m. – MARKET CALL TONIGHT

Maintaining its regular timeslot, Mark Bunting hosts the evening version of Canada’s leading stock market call-in program, MARKET CALL TONIGHT. Bunting meets with top fund managers and market analysts, and takes viewers calls on everything from small caps to ETFs.

Headline with Howard Green takes a summer break and returns to BNN this fall, at a new time.
