Friday, September 6
9 p.m. – STRIKE BACK – Season 3, Episode 3 of 10
Section 20 attempts a risky rescue for a potential new ally. Veering close to the edge, but determined to find the truth, Dalton (Rhona Mitra) goes AWOL with a detainee.
Sunday, September 8
9 p.m. – BOARDWALK EMPIRE – “New York Sour” – *Season 4 Premiere*
Following his battle with Gyp Rosetti, Nucky makes a peace offering to Joe Masseria (Ivo Nandi, Water for Elephants) while working the odds with Arnold Rothstein. While Chalky is busy running the Onyx Club on the Boardwalk, the impulsive Dunn Purnsley (Erik LaRay Harvey, Twister) clashes with a booking agent. Fresh-faced Federal Agent Warren Knox arrives in Atlantic City to learn the ropes from Agent Sawicki (Joseph Aniska, Neighbor). Gillian seeks custody of her grandson, Tommy (Brady Noon), while trying to find a “good” man to keep the Artemis Club afloat. Eli’s college-age son, Willie (Ben Rosenfield, Greetings from Tim Buckley), turns to Nucky for career advice. Al Capone (Stephen Graham, PARADE’S END) enlists his brothers, Frank (Morgan Spector, PERSON OF INTEREST) and Ralph (Domenick Lombardozzi, BREAKOUT KINGS) to help him expand his business in the Chicago suburb of Cicero. Richard Harrow (Jack Huston, EASTWICK) returns to his violent ways.
10 p.m. – THE NEWSROOM – “Election Night, Part 1” – Episode 8 of 9 from Season 2
In the wake of Leona’s refusal to accept the resignations of three top ACN talents, NEWS NIGHT goes forward with its 2012 election night coverage, featuring Will in the unlikely role of director of morale. Sloan is perturbed that her book was auctioned off with a forged signature, while Mac tasks Neal to fix a faulty Wikipedia page. Mindful that Charlie wants a screw-up-free evening, Jim weighs the cons of retracting a call he made too soon. The team deliberates whether to hold off on a story that might affect a tight Senate race.
Friday, September 13
9 p.m. – STRIKE BACK – Season 3, Episode 4 of 10
While recovering from a shocking turn of events, Section 20 faces a different threat: a new enemy joining forces with an old one. Locke (Robson Green) draws Kamali (Zubin Varla) in closer to the team. Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) looks for an old friend, while Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) gets closer to a new one.
Sunday, September 15
9 p.m. – BOARDWALK EMPIRE – “Resignation” – Episode 2 of 12 from Season 4
Now working as a “delivery man” for Dean O’Banion (Arron Shiver,The Men Who Stare at Goats), Van Alden is ordered to keep tabs on Al Capone, joining the ascendant mobster to help keep Cicero voters “informed” at a political rally. Dr. Valentin Narcisse (Jeffrey Wright, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close) arrives in Atlantic City, clashing with Chalky and Nucky over the loss of an employee. In Washington, Agent Knox aligns himself with J. Edgar Hoover (Eric Ladin, THE KILLING), acting director of the Bureau of Investigation. Harrow fails to finish a job in Milwaukee, while Eddie demands a promotion after 11 years of service. With a business opportunity on the horizon, Nucky departs for Florida.
10 p.m. – THE NEWSROOM – “Election Night, Part 2” – *Season 2 Finale*
As election night 2012 winds down, Will and Charlie await a decision from that may impact their future at ACN, and that of the entire senior staff. Sloan learns the identity of the anonymous winning bidder for her book; Don discusses a countersuit against Jerry (Hamish Linklater, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE) with Rebecca (Marcia Gay Harden, Into The Wild); Neal turns to Hallie (Grace Gummer, ZERO HOUR) for help giving Mac a parting gift; Jim tries to make peace with Lisa (Kelen Coleman, THE MINDY PROJECT), encouraging Maggie to do the same; Will has a revelation while Charlie is sharing his.
Friday, September 20
9 p.m. – STRIKE BACK – Season 3, Episode 5 of 10
Section 20 is torn between devoting their resources to the mission or saving one of their own. Stonebridge’s (Philip Winchester) health continues to affect him in the field. Al-Zuhari’s network moves forward quickly, striking close. Kamali (Zubin Varla) explains why yet another threat is emerging.

9 p.m. – BOARDWALK EMPIRE – “Acres of Diamonds” – Episode 3 of 12 from Season 4
Nucky has reservations about investing in a Tampa land deal engineered by transplanted bootlegger Bill McCoy (Pearce Bunting, Superhero Excelsior). While there, he meets speakeasy owner Sally Wheet (Patricia Arquette, MEDIUM). Valentin Narcisse books a sexy jazz singer, Daughter Maitland (Margot Bingham), to perform at the Onyx, and gauges Dunn Purnsley’s allegiance to Chalky. Willie, Eli’s son, turns to Mickey Doyle and his bootleg warehouse to elevate his social standing at college. Gillian agrees to pose as Roy Phillips’ wife to impress a possible partner. Harrow tries to bury his past, though not before taking care of some unfinished business with Emma (Katherine Waterston, Michael Clayton).
Monday, September 23
9 p.m. – FIRST COUSIN ONCE REMOVED
This documentary from HBO presents an intimate portrait of poet/translator/professor Edwin Honig on his journey into the depths of Alzheimer’s disease, as seen through the lens of acclaimed filmmaker Alan Berliner.
Friday, September 27
9 p.m. – STRIKE BACK – Season 3, Episode 6 of 10
The team tracks stolen property to Russia, where Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) and Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) continue their side careers as “outlaws.” As Stonebridge’s health continues to deteriorate, they discover new mysteries about a piece of Al-Zuhari’s plan. Kamali (Zubin Varla) worries that his cover identity may not hold.
Sunday, September 29
9 p.m. – BOARDWALK EMPIRE – “All In” – Episode 4 of 12 from Season 4
Nucky gets to know Arnold Rothstein over a card game, and sizes up an unexpected partner for his Tampa land deal. A newly promoted Eddie Kessler gets detoured after making a train-station delivery. When one of their collectors is incapacitated, Al and Frank Capone decide to finish his route, enlisting a reluctant Van Alden to tag along. Agent Knox fills Hoover in on the Thompson operation, vowing to exploit Nucky’s weakest link. Chalky is intrigued by Daughter Maitland’s presence. Dunn Purnsley goes to Harlem, and is courted by Valentin Narcisse. Willie and his college roommate, Clayton (Owen Campbell), carry a practical joke too far.
10 p.m. – EASTBOUND & DOWN – *Season 4 Premiere*
Starring Danny McBride (This Is The End), this raw-and-raunchy comedy series tells the story of star pitcher Kenny Powers, whose self-destructive behavior knocks him out of major league baseball, leaving him broke, delusional and desperate to regain his former glory. The eight-episode fourth and final season picks up several years after Kenny Powers faked his own death and ran back home to his beloved April, the mother of his child.
10:30 p.m. – HELLO LADIES – *Series Premiere*
A gawky, 6’ 7” Englishman (Stephen Merchant) searches for excitement and romance in Los Angeles. Half as charming – and twice as desperate – as he thinks he is, he becomes obsessed with infiltrating this new world of beautiful people, who won’t let him in.
