Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team made history yet again on Wednesday afternoon, advancing to the Knockout Stage for the first time ever. Canadians continue to enjoy every moment of FIFA WORLD CUP 2026™, as Canada’s match vs. Switzerland attracted an average audience of 4.1 million viewers on TSN, RDS, CTV, Noovo, and Crave, according to preliminary data from Numeris, an increase of +147% compared to Canada’s third match at the 2022 tournament.  Overall, 10.1 million unique Canadian viewers tuned in for some part of the match, an increase of +98% compared to Canada’s third match in 2022. The match saw audiences peak with 6 million viewers at 4:55 p.m. ET as Canada looked for the equalizer late in the game. Additionally, streaming audiences saw a substantial increase, more than tripling that of Canada’s third match in 2022.  The Canada-Switzerland match now ranks as the third-most-watched FIFA WORLD CUP™ Group Stage match on record.     Audience figures continue to soar for Bell Media’s exclusive live coverage of the biggest FIFA WORLD CUP™ in history, and audience highlights from June 11-24 include: 
  • Overall, 24.9 million unique viewers have tuned in to watch FIFA WORLD CUP 2026™ coverage so far on TSN, RDS, CTV, Noovo, and Crave (61% of Canada’s population)
  • Canadians have consumed 165.9 million hours of FIFA WORLD CUP 2026™ content, nearly doubling the total of the 2022 Group Stage
  • Momentum around non-Canada matches continues to increase, attracting an average audience of 1 million viewers, an increase of +65% compared to the 2022 Group Stage
