TORONTO (November 18, 2021) – Canada’s top curlers are set to hit the ice for the 2021 TIM HORTONS CURLING TRIALS airing live from the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Sask., beginning with the Round Robin on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 3 p.m. ET on TSN, TSN.ca, and the TSN app.
The action continues through to Sunday, Nov. 28, with the respective winners of both the men’s and women’s events chosen to represent Canada at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games. TSN’s complete broadcast schedule is available here.
Delivering the call live on TSN are play-by-play announcers Vic Rauter and Bryan Mudryk, alongside two-time TIM HORTONS BRIER and Men’s World Curling Championships winner and 2006 Olympic gold medallist Russ Howard, 2010 Olympic silver medallist Cheryl Bernard, and three-time SCOTTIES TOURNAMENT OF HEARTS champion Cathy Gauthier.
The women’s field is highlighted by two-time SCOTTIES TOURNAMENT OF HEARTS champion Kerri Einarson and Team Einarson; three-time Canadian national champion and 2017 Women’s World Curling Championships winner Rachel Homan and Team Homan; and six-time Canadian national champion and 2014 Olympic gold medallist Jennifer Jones and Team Jones. The competition also includes Team Fleury, Team Harrison, Team McCarville, Team Rocque, Team Scheidegger, and Team Walker.
On the men’s side of the event, the field is highlighted by 2021 TIM HORTONS BRIER champion Brendan Bottcher and Team Bottcher; 2020 TIM HORTONS BRIER champion and 2006 Olympic gold medallist Brad Gushue and Team Gushue; 2014 Olympic gold medallist Brad Jacobs and Team Jacobs; and two-time World Champion Kevin Koe and Team Koe. The men’s pool also features Team Dunstone, Team Epping, Team Gunnlaugson, Team Gushue, Team Horgan, and Team McEwen.
