TORONTO (March 21, 2019) – In a new twist for hit CSA-nominated series
THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, CTV announced today that – for the first time ever – three teams have the chance to race again as Canada’s Choice team for Season 7.
Beginning today through Monday, April 1 at 11:59 p.m. ET, Canadians can make their voices heard and vote for the team they feel deserve a second chance at
CTV.ca, or on Twitter with
@AmazingRaceCDA using team-specific hashtags (below). The team receiving the most votes will join host
Jon Montgomery on the starting line for the upcoming new season of
THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, set to air this summer on CTV.
The Canada’s Choice team won’t be the only ones looking for a second chance on
THE AMAZING RACE CANADA. They’ll be joined by a group of new racers who have overcome challenges and faced reinventions and transformations. Now, they’ll all have the opportunity to experience the race of a lifetime.
“With Canada’s Choice, we have the opportunity to give three teams the ultimate second chance to race again,” said Mark Lysakowski, Executive Producer and Showrunner,
THE AMAZING RACE CANADA. “Over six seasons, we’ve said goodbye to teams who went home following shocking and heartbreaking eliminations. We revisited every moment, and ultimately selected these three competitive teams as our first to return to the starting line.”
The three teams competing for Canada’s Choice are:
Jet and Dave – Best Friends from Season 1

These besties from London, Ont. raced into the Top 4 during the first season of
THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, only to be eliminated following a tough performance Roadblock in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador.
“We should be Canada’s Choice because Canadians deserve to be entertained at least ONE hour a week!”

Brothers from Musquodoboit Harbour, N.S., this team made it all the way to the finale, ultimately finishing in third place (or second runner-up, according to the brothers) after a high-rise cycling challenge wasn’t as easy as riding a bike.
“We should be Canada’s Choice because Canada has only seen a small part of what we can do. We want to push ourselves harder than we ever have before and, through our strong will and determination, we feel we are capable of anything.”

This west coast mother/daughter team also known as “Fire & Ice” raced their way to the Top 4, eliminated after following incorrect information given by another team.
“We should be Canada’s Choice because we will make Canada proud and we’ll always have our positive energy alongside us! We are true Canadians and we’d be so thankful to be chosen.”
