Joining CANADA’S DRAG RACE for sickening prizing, product integration, and exclusive creative content are DoorDash Canada, Hilton, Neutrogena, and Roots. “As CANADA’S DRAG RACE readies itself for its big premiere, we are thrilled to be partnering with these incredibly creative brands to bring innovative must-see branded content and initiatives to our audiences across the country,” said Justin Stockman, Vice-President Brand Partnerships and Client Strategy, Bell Media. “Together with our brand partners we are making ‘herstory’, propelling this inaugural season to become a massive success.” Below are details about the four, innovative, co-branded partnerships for Season 1 of CANADA’S DRAG RACE: DoorDash Canada DoorDash Canada partners with CANADA’S DRAG RACE to present Courageous Conversations, a new initiative to amplify its stance as a vocal ally for the LGBTQ2S+ community. Courageous Conversations are a deck of 25 conversation starters exploring the meaningful themes that Pride brings to the forefront including individuality, empowerment, community, and acceptance, distributed through DoorDash deliveries and social influencers. In a unique video created by Bell Media and hosted on the CANADA’S DRAG RACE YouTube channel, two Queens are featured sharing food, demonstrating Courageous Conversations open minds. Hilton Hilton, a leading global hospitality company with a portfolio of 18 world-class brands, is teaming up with CANADA’S DRAG RACE to offer exciting challenge prizing including accommodations, culinary, and spa experiences, as well as the grand prize of a year’s worth of hotel stays at Hilton properties around the world – all valued at more than $35,000. Neutrogena Neutrogena comes on board as the official make-up remover brand in the ‘werkroom.’ Fans are also treated to exclusive content as the Queens return to their dressing room to de-drag an iconic look from one of the episodes. Roots Finally, as a proudly Canadian premium outdoor-lifestyle brand which unites the best of comfort and style, Roots is teaming up with the glamour of drag for the Maxi-Challenge in the premiere episode. In this challenge, the Queens will be tasked to use iconic Canadian textiles to create a runway-ready look defining “Canadian Couture”. From leather pieces and maple leaf emblems, to Roots’ iconic salt and pepper fabric, the Queens’ sewing skills are put to the test. The winner of this challenge receives a $5,000 shopping spree at Roots. Fans are also treated to sneak-peeks of the series, and shown how they can get their Roots fashion fix with two special ETALK segments in partnership with Roots. Crave Original Series CANADA’S DRAG RACE promises to have viewers clutching their royal pearls as 12 of the fiercest queens in the land showcase their Canadian Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent to compete to become Canada’s First Drag Superstar, and win the $100,000 grand prize. With Snatch Game, Rumail, the reading challenge, puppets, makeovers, and gag-worthy untucked sessions, CANADA’S DRAG RACE serves up fan-favourites from RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE, but with maple-flavoured Canadian realness. Each episode tests the queens’ talents, and challenges them to master singing, dancing, acting, impersonation, costume making, and improvisation. One competitor sashays away at the end of each episode, until the last queen standing is announced the inaugural winner. Throughout this journey, the queens share their personal struggles and successes, highlighting their individuality. Presiding over each episode is a panel of expert judges – Brooke Lynn Hytes, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, and Stacey McKenzie – while ETALK Senior Correspondent Traci Melchor is Canada’s very first Squirrel Friend, making appearances throughout the season and adding her trademark fabulousness to the werkroom, challenges, and the main stage. Previously announced as guest hosts are BIDDELL, Amanda Brugel, Deborah Cox, Elisha Cuthbert, Tom Green, Jade Hassouné, Traci Melchor, Michelle Visage, Mary Walsh, and Allie X.
