Jon Montgomery hosts the eighth season of CTV’s THE AMAZING RACE CANADA
TORONTO (October 10, 2019) – Following an adventurous seventh season finale last month and the subsequent renewal of CTV’s THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, Season 8 casting is now open for the nation’s most-watched Canadian series of the 2018/19 broadcast year. Beginning today, aspiring competitors can apply for their chance to run the race of a lifetime at CTV.ca/TheAmazingRaceCanada. Along with today’s casting announcement, Bell Media confirms that customized and wholly integrated brand partnership opportunities are currently available for Season 8 of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA.

Fans and adrenaline-seekers from coast-to-coast-to-coast are invited to pair up with a teammate – a friend, sibling, parent, grandparent, partner, or anyone else they share a relationship with – and submit their audition for this once-in-lifetime adventure.

Hosted by Olympic gold medallist Jon Montgomery, Season 7 of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA was the most-watched in four years, with a season averaging of 1.9 million viewers, earning the title of Canada’s most-watched summer program for a seventh year in-a-row with A25-54. Season 7 also delivered a total of five episodes that garnered more than 2 million viewers each, including its finale which drew a season high of 2.1 million viewers. The season also saw significant growth with A18-34 (+39%) and A18-49 (+11%) demos, marking their highest averages since Season 4.
