“The fast pace and addictive fun of POP QUIZ is a great addition to the E! lineup,” said Catherine MacLeod, Senior Vice-President, Specialty Channels, Bell Media. “The dynamic duo of Devon and Emma take trivia to an exciting new level that will surely entertain the most savvy pop-culture fans.”

POP QUIZ kicks off each episode with 10 pop-culture whizzes ready to battle it out for the top $5,000 prize.

Round 1 – Eliminations
The participants stand in a circle where a spinning camera in the center picks at random who will answer a question such as “name one of the Top 50 celebrities on Maxim’s 2012 ‘Hot 100’ list of the world’s most beautiful women.” At the end of the round, four players are eliminated.

Round 2 – Connections
The six remaining players are given a pop culture category and must respond with the most well-known connection for each. For example, players are given the clue, “Physique” and the name of a celebrity and must indicate which body part they’ve had insured. In this round, two players are eliminated.

Round 3 – Definitions
The four remaining players have 25 seconds to answers five celeb-inspired definitions that all begin with the same letter. For example, with the letter “H” as a clue, contestants are asked to define the celeb that fits this bill: “Last name Klum, a former Victoria’s Secret Angel and ex-wife of singer, Seal.” Another two players are eliminated at the end of this round.

Semi-Finals – Face-Off
The two remaining participants go head-to-head to prove their pop culture knowledge in a best two out of three trivia battle.

Finals – Winner’s Circle
In this final round, the player is given 15 seconds to answer three questions. If all are answered correctly, the pop culture expert wins $5,000 cash and bragging rights!
