VICTORIA (February 26, 2014) – CFAX 1070 announced today its new weekend lineup kicking off on Saturday, March 8, delivering a robustslate of hour-to-hour content every Saturday and Sunday. Notable changes to theschedule include the launch of the all-new “CAFÉ VICTORIA SATURDAY WITH BRUCEWILLIAMS,” airing Saturdays from noon –1 p.m. and the move of popular Sunday program “TECH TALK WITH ALAN PERRY,”now slated to air Saturday mornings from10 a.m. – noon.
Additional changesto CFAX 1070’s weekend lineupincludes:
- Extending the pop-culture focused “BOOMERTOWN WITH BARRY BOWMAN” from 30 minutes to a one-hour show, airing from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Sundays.
- Airing Sundays at 2 p.m., Corey Polkinghorne’s “THE JAM” gets revamped as “THE BIG 45.” The new, hour-long, music-based show features the biggest hits on 45 vinyl from back in the day, including Aretha Franklin, Elton John, Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, ABBA, Blondie, and more. Polkinghorne plays some of the most momentous songs ever recorded and shares the stories behind these world-renowned tunes.
