PremieringMonday, October 15 at 8 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PTon Discovery World HD, this six-part UK/Canadian co-production follows Bernie Fineman and Mario Pacione as they search for bargain wrecks with great potential.
Working with a tight deadline and even tighter budget the duo scour scrapyards, wastelands, and backyards to find broken-down examples of these six legendary cars. Fineman and Pacione also meet with engineers, owners, and lovers of these magnificent cars to discuss why these cars turned dreams to reality, how they introduced new technology, and why these cars were such a success.

CLASSIC CAR RESCUE – “Jaguar E-Type” Monday, October 15 at 8 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT One of the most famous and desirable cars in automotive history, the Jaguar E-Type, announced the arrival of the ’60s’ sexual revolution. Its arrival sent shockwaves through the automotive world setting new standards in automotive design and performance.
CLASSIC CAR RESCUE – “Porsche 911” Monday, October 22 at 8 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT The most practical supercar in the world is the Porsche 911, a loud and fast vehicle that became the universal symbol of aspirational success and excess. The team struggles to bring one of these racers back to glory when they discover suspicious welds.
CLASSIC CAR RESCUE – “MGB GT” Monday, October 29 at 8 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT With its elegant styling and simple engineering, the MGB GT became the best-selling British sports car ever. The team manage to find one that promptly falls apart when they get it to the garage. They rush to try and get this legend back up and running.
CLASSIC CAR RESCUE – “Ford Mustang” Monday, November 5 at 8 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT The fastest selling car of all time, the Ford Mustang offered a new vision of freedom: the freedom to roam, to live, and to make a lot of youthful delinquent noise. Reliable, affordable, sporty, and exactly the opposite of mom and dad’s car.
Also this season onCLASSIC CAR RESCUE: The world’s first truly classless car, the “Mini” is a vehicle for everyone from commoner to celebrity to dedicated racer (Nov. 12). The team works around the clock to restore a Mini that looks like it will never ride again. The “Cadillac Coupe De Ville” was “the standard of the world” in the ’50s, and summed up the post-Second World War American confidence. The team travel to Canada to find a gorgeous old Caddy, but everything that can go wrong quickly does (Nov. 19).
