TORONTO (July 8, 2015) – It’s time to fête! On Tuesday, July 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Bell Media’s legendary 299 Queen St. W parking lot undergoes a tropical transformation with FEEL DA VIBE. Members of the public are invited to revel in a free, mid-week, midday, taste of the grandeur, glittering costumes, and pulsating rhythms of Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Toronto. Hosted by CP24’s Pooja Handa and CTV Toronto’s Colin D’Mello, the special, three-hour party celebrates the very best of Caribbean culture, from vendors selling authentic Caribbean cuisine featuring traditional island flavours and the sounds of a live steelpan band, to a DJ spinning the hottest in soca and calypso and the colourful and elaborate costumes of Carnival dancers.

CTV Toronto and CP24 recently renewed their longstanding partnership with the Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival for an additional three years (2015 through 2017). Now underway, the exclusive partnership promises extensive coverage of the three-week celebration, featuring Caribbean culture, music, food, and visual and performing arts, as well as on air and online promotion, and special contests and opportunities for viewers. CP24’s non-stop coverage on Saturday, Aug. 1 culminates with a live broadcast of the Grand Parade from the moment the floats, mas bands, and revelers depart Exhibition Place, with coverage ongoing until the very end of the parade.
