Awards season continues and so do the accolades for premium programming found exclusively on Crave. At last night’s 24th ANNUAL CRITICS’ CHOICE AWARDS, HBO and SHOWTIME programming took home six awards, including wins in major acting categories. HBO’s BARRY collected two wins, including Bill Hader’s award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, while Henry Winkler took top honours for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. BARRY Season 1 is streaming on Crave, with Season 2 slated for later this year. HBO’s SHARP OBJECTS also took home two awards. Patricia Clarkson won her first Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television, and co-star Amy Adams grabbed the award for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television, tying with Patricia Arquette for SHOWTIME’s ESCAPE AT DANNEMORA. Both limited series are now available on Crave. Thandie Newton was awarded her second Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Maeve in HBO’s WESTWORLD. Newton won the same award in 2016. Seasons 1-2 of WESTWORLD are available on Crave, and the series has been renewed for a third season. Honourable mention for Sandra Oh who continues her killer winning streak for KILLING EVE and took home Best Actress in a Drama Series after her historic Golden Globe win. The first season of KILLING EVE is also streaming on Crave, launching last October following its run on Bravo. For a full list of winners click here.
