“Countless TV cop shows have captivated viewers over the years, but this one goes to the head of the class – a result of superior character and plot development.” – Bill Brownstein, Montreal Gazette
“The plotting and pacing are what draw you in. The series works like a good page-turner.” – Neil Genzlinger, The New York Times
“Welliver’s performance is nicely built out of smirks and smolders; a strong supporting cast rarely makes a false move.” – Hank Stuever, The Washington PostTORONTO (July 11, 2016) – CTV announced today that CraveTV’s exclusive hit crime series BOSCH will make its North American network debut this week. Season 1 of the 10-episode, critically acclaimed crime drama will air Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT beginning July 14 on CTV. “BOSCH continues to be a success for us on CraveTV. The addition to the CTV schedule provides a tremendous sampling opportunity for CTV viewers and a great opportunity to drive new interest in Season 2, which remains exclusively available to CraveTV subscribers,” said Mike Cosentino, Senior Vice-President, Programming, CTV Networks and CraveTV. Based on author Michael Connelly’s internationally best-selling Harry Bosch book series with nearly 50 million copies sold, BOSCH stars Titus Welliver (THE GOOD WIFE, Argo) as Harry Bosch, Jamie Hector (THE STRAIN, PERSON OF INTEREST) as Jerry Edgar, Amy Aquino (BEING HUMAN, ER) as Lt. Grace Billets, Lance Reddick (INTELLEGENCE, FRINGE) as Deputy Chief Irvin Irving, and Annie Wersching (THE VAMPIRE DIARIES) as Julia Brasher, with Sarah Clarke (THE TOMORROW PEOPLE, COVERT AFFAIRS) as Eleanor Wish and Jason Gedrick (HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, DEXTER) as Raynard Waits. Guest stars on BOSCH include Scott Wilson (THE WALKING DEAD) as Dr. Guyot and Troy Evans (ER) as Detective Johnson. The series follows Harry Bosch, the relentless LAPD homicide detective, as he pursues the killer of a 13-year-old boy while standing trial in federal court on accusations that he murdered a suspected killer in cold blood. The series was developed for television by Eric Overmyer (THE AFFAIR, TREME, LAW & ORDER) and Executive Produced by Overmyer, Connelly, and Henrik Bastin (THE COMEDIANS, MY GENERATION). BOSCH takes the viewer through back streets and neighborhoods of Los Angeles rarely seen on-screen. Primarily based on elements from Connelly’s books City of Bones (2002), The Concrete Blonde (1994), and Echo Park (2006), the series follows Bosch, whose investigation takes on a life and death urgency when Raynard Waits (Gedrick), who has confessed to the boy’s murder, escapes custody and begins a murderous rampage across Los Angeles. Bosch and the killer are locked in a cat and mouse game, with the killer taunting Bosch as the investigation turns deeply personal. The case unearths Bosch’s buried past as well as entangling his ex-wife (Sarah Clarke) and 14-year-old daughter (Madison Lintz; NASHVILLE, THE WALKING DEAD). An Amazon Studios production, BOSCH is distributed by Red Arrow International. Seasons 1 and 2 are available now on CraveTV in the “Drama” and “Crime & Mystery” collections.
