CTV Announces 2013 Mayoral Election Coverage with ELECTION 2013, Oct. 21

EDMONTON (October 15, 2013) – As the 2013 race for Mayor heats up, CTV Edmonton unveiled its plans today to provide viewers unparalleled live election night coverage. Airing Monday, Oct. 21 starting at 8 p.m. on CTV, just as the polls close, ELECTION 2013 provides up-to-the-minute context and analysis until the new Mayor is announced.

Anchored by Daryl McIntyre and Carrie Doll, ELECTION 2013 also features three-term City Councilor Kim Krushell, who joins the anchor team to offer a unique insider perspective on the candidates, including their views on the issues, opportunities and challenges unique to the Edmonton region – as the results unfold.

CTV NEWS will also have its team of experienced journalists fanned out across the city, reporting live from key battleground headquarters, providing real-time election results as the ballots are counted, and conducting live interviews with candidate front-runners.

Meanwhile, edmonton.ctvnews.ca will offer comprehensive online coverage, videos, and up-to-the-minute election results, with analysis on what the election will mean for Edmontonians. Viewers can also join the conversation with CTV NEWS AT NOON and CTV NEWS AT 5 p.m. anchor Erin Isfeld on Twitter @ErinIsfeldCTV for real-time updates and analysis throughout election night.
